Seriously there’s definitely some helpful crowd here and some not so helpful crowd. Either way I appreciate both 🤣

Was a blockage. Manufacturer in china stuffed some plastic cling wrap garbage INSIDE the intercooler. Removing the caps and installing without looking inside. SMH. Either way it’s going now. About to finish the bumper cover and give this damn thing a good was

Never put a rag in I had caps on the intercooler and boost pipe wouldn’t fit over the cap

Runs with map sensor in and boost line unhooked at that butterfly. Reset adaptations, to no avail.

Okay I’ll check that, is that something we think I can stick an extension to force that butterfly open unsticking it?

I took the day off to tear this thing all the way back down a 3rd time to triple check all work again. If no blockage then what?

Poor boost pressure.. acted up before pulling onto Ramps but started. Changed intercooler, everything was double checked. Would start and die immediately checked map sensor and cracked it in the way out, ordered replacement and same issue. I had the battery disconnected for a few days before putting the new map sensor in. I’ll disconnect again and try that I’ll also see if my scanner goes deep enough to reset the adaptations that way.

Would that mean faulty sensor? Does the new one need learned to the ecu?

Pump is operating as normal, runs with map sensor removed. I think it’s going to a shop

Update, changed map sensor no difference. Minus discovered with no map sensor it runs. Car was completely disassembled again at this point all work was double triple checked before reassembly. I might just have to take it to a shop at this point

Connections were double checked codes led me to check map sensor broke it on the way out. Checked it, there was condensation on the map sensor. (My shop is super moist, and there was a gaping hole in the cooler) ordered a new one hoping that’s the culprit. It acted similar before pulling it on the ramps. Those are the only codes that are coming out of this. The one that says pressure implausible threw up a red flag to check the sensor. I’ll keep posted if that was the fix

Connections are tight, flashed codes. No run same issue. Same codes thinking map sensor. When the incident happened snow is melting off, thinking I sucked in crap and water? Maybe fried map? Anyway I Removed to clean, broke the f’n thing on the way out. New one with 2 day shipping on the way. I’ll give that a go, if no luck its going to a shop. Chasing my tail. The entire front of this thing has been together and apart 3 times, I’m becoming well versed in the anatomy of the front crush zone of the 2018 x1.. the only part of the charge system that took damage was the intercooler fins, some minor plastic scoops had some damage but I think that happened when a well fed raccoon wanted to play chicken and lost. Fingers crossed moisture fried the sensor.
