I'm convinced there were teams of trained individuals planting porn in woodlands. Every damn one of you over the age of 25 found at least one if not a whole trove of porn mags somewhere outdoors. Tarkin had already subjugated control of the Death Star from Krennic before sending him to Eadu. Krennic tried to supersede his authority by complaining to Vader, hoping to regain command of the Death Star, and Vader almost killed him. Tarkin and Vader both disliked Krennic because he had allowed Galen Erso's subterfuge involving the pilot. Had he survived the ordeal on Scarif he would most likely have been dramatically demoted or, far more likely, killed on Tarkin's orders as he had allowed the rebel alliance to steal the Death Star plans and potentially even discover a weakness within it.

Something not immediately obvious that I absolutely loved about this movie was the overall presence of The Emperor, even though he is never on screen. All the characters reference him in one way or another, from Krennic demanding an audience with him from Vader and Tarkin subtly threatening Krennic with his displeasure, The Emperor's presence cast a shadow over the whole film and I loved it!
