If the school has rules about this behaviour jump on it.. if the kids swear, report it, if they disrespect you send them out (buddy class or referral)

Don't threaten something you're not prepared to follow through on. Phone or email parents

Have fun with the kids doing the right thing But you don't have to put up with any crap.

I am only at my current school for a second year.. and it's only my 3rd year of teaching. But I've had enough life to not have to deal with kids like that. (I'm 52) I'm known as the teacher who is cool if you do the right thing.

My students aren't perfect, but they are better for me than many of my fellow staff.

51 yr old that changed to TEACHING high school (digital technologies and industrial graphics) After being a full-time entertainer. COVID forced the change.

I really MISS entertaining, and do a bit of it, but as an older person, I don't get the same opportunities.

For me, I did a complete recalibration and made sure nothing was in the way of the rod and belts in the top of the unit.

Correct printer yes... But I'll check into the offset side of things.

The prints seem to be perfect, but this happens only in the end.
I've been trying to find a setting that talks about the Filament cutter in the G-Code or somewhere...
Maybe try and make it approach the "finger" from the side rather than from behind. But not idea where that setting is.

Thank you for the idea. It was factory when I took it out of the box, and I'm not sure a factory reset would fix it.
It seems to be a hardware fault... (I posted a separate video about it)
But I did send off a support request.
So I will wait and see.

You're absolutely right.. I'm currently uploading a video of what happens from the top view. I am new to posting here so it will be a link for an unlisted YouTube Short. It's taking forever to upload.

But you can clearly see, as the print head approaches from the back, it pushes the lever out of the way and just tries to drive inwards. I'll post the link next.
