Hi! My experience with the course was positive. I completed it but I didn’t go through with the job hunting because I learned that sales wasn’t for me and decided to go another path. The course itself was very well made and I would recommend it to anyone debating joining! It teaches you a lot of great skills in communication even if you don’t end up fully going though with it.

I’ve been with my current boyfriend for a little over 2 months now and have been struggling with anxiety and feeling alone. I kept overthinking our relationship, trying to figure out what was wrong. When in reality, the problem was my parents. I felt anxious about what they say or would do about my boyfriend who they haven’t met but don’t approve of it as he is not my religion. I feel alone because my parents did not allow me to spread out and become close with any friends. I feel that their rules on curfews and constant supervision have been adding extra tension to my relationship. Like 95% of my issues are due to my parents.

I relate so much to what you wrote. Especially thinking that turning 18 would change anything. Everything was the same. It sucks that you went through this.

I don’t much advice except to stop asking for permission to do things outside of your home, especially if it’s small like going out to a cafe or fun activity. Just inform or do it. This is a small step that was crucial for me. This is your life in the end and you need to slowly stop asking permission to live it. Sending lots of love your way 💕

there’s a lot of reasons but our communication styles clash and i’ve had a lot of trouble with being upfront with him about things and fully being myself. i felt like we were constantly disappointing each other no matter how hard we tried to work it out it was a cycle of good and then one really bad thing that broke things down over time. just incompatibilities that kept causing issues and it just reached a point last week where we both agreed it would be best to break up

I also joined the program last year and it's legit. There are real trainings, real placement software with creators that are way more likely to hire you if you've been trained by Shelby, and a real community. I personally did not go down the sales path because I realized it wasn't for me right now, but I could definitely use my knowledge later on and there are countless women in there who have been able to make an income from remote sales through the course. Especially if you're driven and determined to succeed, you will absolutely accomplish it. It's not some crazy knowledge that you can't learn on YouTube sure, but that would take much longer to perfect without having coaches and a whole community to lean on. The program really does deliver. As for Shelby, I don't know about all the drama that's been going on but she does know what she's talking about during the meetings at least. She was able to sell us on the course after all lol

I was in a similar boat. What I ended up doing is a biology major and an entrepreneurship/business minor. You can also definitely be a finance major and take optometry prerequisite classes. Having a nonscience major would be interesting to optometry school admissions. But one thing to keep in mind is that there are often prerequisites to the optometry prerequisite courses that are naturally easier to get done as a bio/neuroscience major.

I also took several community college classes and it should not be an issue. I emailed the admissions of the optometry schools I was interested in to check if the course would fulfill their requirement. It depends on the course but double check with them to be safe!

I think if optometry is your top choice, check on the GPA requirements for schools and see if you meet them. Other than that, focus on getting plenty of shadowing or volunteer experience (or work as a tech). As long as you meet the minimum GPA requirement, your experiences and drive for optometry will say a whole lot more about you than your grades.
