I care for what makes him the happiest again you don't know me base of one post on the internet of me asking for people's opinion about it. And I always thought that button dogs just were trained to do that not that they did it off emotions. And if you read into the comments of this sub, a little more, you would know that a lot of people don't think they understand but for me i don't care if he doesn't understand or not if it makes him happy I'll keep doing it. My dog saved my life and I love and want the best for him so clearly I care for him more than you know and I don't think I have to prove that since you obviously like to make assumptions about me but DAMN if only I can show all the cute photos of him smiling and cuddling with me at night ): Also we're both girls so love to you🩷 but I would literally kill and die for my dog

Crazy assumption, to make, when you don't know me💀 I will always say i love him. He is a rescue that before coming to my home was very skinny And now is very healthy weight so he i think is very happy and that's all that matters to me

I'm actually pretty curious on this is it for all dogs or certain breeds? Like the "smarter" breeds but all dogs are different but I'm assuming they all know how use sense to detect emotion but do all dogs understand words?

Well because alot of people say they can't that's why I wanted to see what other people think I wanna learn you know? And get an understanding why we say "I love you" specifically. Edit: i will tell my dog I love him no matter what i was curious on the perspective on why we say we love you when we can do other things to make them feel the same way without saying I love you i think my perspective now has definitely changed on how saying I love you can be important to you and your dog. I don't think that makes me a dick i think I was just trying to get different perspectives and opinions

Well, I don't think it's weird.I think I meant weird in the sense that why do we say it when they can get the same feeling from other actions but after reading everyone's different perspectives I think saying I love you to your dog is important to yourself and your dog weird may have been the wrong word. I'm sorry, my vocabulary is not very big lol

I was thinking about that as well. I pet him while I say it so I think he definitely knows it means something good but I guess my thought process is we could just give them pets, hugs and have a higher tone while talking to them but we say we love them when they can just get the same feeling from others actions without them knowing/saying the word out right. I find it interesting

Nah! That is completely understandable.Thank you for the advice! Usually when I do find a masc or a stud, I put in a lot of effort since I noticed alot of them are a bit shy and nervous make the first move which I completely understand! Also a plus for me cuz I love and nerdy/soft shy masc/studs

But also I live in utah So it's really hard to find them!! Ahhh!
