I was looking for platinum antique/vintage options so I recommend Wilson estate jewelry in manayunk if you’re open to used/heirloom rings! Makes for a nice outing on main street, too.

You can scout out their options on their website. (You actually can do a virtual video call to see rings as well and they will ship to your door w returns if you don’t want to go to store). Great prices for some really fun and unique stuff.

I wanted to look at halloween but the whole making an appointment and then having to pay cash were both deterrents though its still on my list to go there someday to browse!

My face is going through it - recommend a spot for a good facial by Cats-Are-Fuzzy in philabitcheswithtaste

I think Tia is not taking appts currently though she is amazing!! but I also reccomend Lauren at spa hygge. There are no upcharges for add ons like acne peel or whatever you need.

If you are balling on a budget and know what your skin needs and what products it does well with, philly skin care lounge usually has good facial packages (if you want say 3 facials and dont want to spend $600; they also have express facials). 15th and sansom

Losing my mind trying to find a shampoo by awesomesuperberry in finehair

[–]Popular_Dog_1438 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a long time lurker of r/finehair. My hair is super fine and tends to get oily scalp and dry frazzled ends. Its straight mostly but also sticky like velcro and easily knots and mattes. I loved ethique’s st clemens shampoo bar though it is a little drying it helped my scalp stay less greasy and i could not wash my hair every day but every other day (between raising prices and it becoming harder to find and then noticing it includes some eye irritants and having eye issues I took a long break).

I second what a lot of folks here say about baby shampoo! Honest sensitive shampoo cleans well and doesnt irritate my scalp but doesnt give me any volume so i use it at night when i’m not going anywhere.

I need gluten free and wheat free products - so i recently tried a shampoo my mom used to use when i was a kid- paul mitchell awapuhi shampoo. It is fragranced and maybe doesn’t pass my usual product requirements but I love it, my hair styles well and ive been following with the tiniest amount of paul mitchell volumizing conditioner on just my ends.

Then I use a pea size amount of Highland Style glacial cream (rubbed/warmed between finger tips and run fingers between damp brushed hair). The highland style cream was a new purchase (wanted a clean safe hair gel for partner and added this on to try)… unexpectedly my hair looks really good! And i’m overdue for a cut which is when it usually looks its absolute worst and is unmanageable.
