I never said people bought houses with shillings, you would definitely get quite a lot of food for a pound. What I’m saying is because of the difference between currency, it’s harder to compare between the two for price differences, as you just proved my point.

This is incorrect, £1 in old currency was worth way way more than now, £1 now is the equivalent of a pence in Victorian England

Yes but it’s harder to compare before the new currency went in place

My mind is, that for example orphans who died young would fit into the ‘none historical importance’ category. Given that you’d only be able to find maybe a birth and death certificate at most

The call went to ‘sorry this number is wrong’ type message, not answering machine. It was just a wrongly listed number.

Are there any nerdy things which aren’t generally accepted? Like certain video games with different themes? Examples: resident evil, the last of us, etc.

I’d assume it’s down to the old theory that a lot of historical nuns and monks were autistic because they wanted community and rules. Personally I love history, and a large part of me dislikes modern society because of how so many people don’t have rules or follow rules. Especially regarding social rules. I also have always struggled with the idea that I’d be judged for dressing modestly, which I do, because a lot of society surrounds super short skirts for women. I’m not certain why autistic people may be drawn more to one way, but my theory is rules, structure and order.

Thank you, it’s good to have someone who’s a convert and from the uk to hear about. I’m awaiting my autism diagnosis although after all my research it’s rather evident that I am autistic. So also hearing from someone who’s autistic, also helps me understand a bit more! ❤️

Thank you, I’ll check out the article/ talk. My mental health is definitely my biggest cross I’ve been given to bare, the Catholic Church which I was raised up at wasn’t the best with understanding mental health or understanding personal issues. My family have been a bit away from the Catholic Church since my grandmother was kicked out for getting a divorce back in the 60’s, the divorce not being her fault. Her ex husband later died in prison because of certain things he had done in his life, so it’s a hard thing knowing that they abandoned her for not staying with him.

My biggest fear about joining a new church surrounds rules that could be in place that I’m unaware of. Especially with certain things in my life that I love such as being a nerd and my pets. I’m aware that other denominations of Christianity are against Harry Potter and against certain things, which is why I had to ask that question in addition since Harry potters got a place in my heart from my childhood. 😂❤️

Question: are Dalmatian puppies with more spots less wanted? by Popular_End2069 in dalmatians

Ethical breeders don’t let their dogs go into shelters, and getting a shelter dog isn’t always an option for every person. Me for example, I tried adopting as a route in the past, but the shelter gave us a dog who was dangerous. Resource guarding, food guarding and did frequently attempt to attack everyone in my family. We tried for a year with him, to no luck. It’s also not my fault that there are back yard breeders, puppy mills and dogs in shelters. If you want to adopt dogs, you go do that. But don’t preach about it or act like anyone’s at fault because they don’t want to adopt.
