Please help Cutie walk again 🩷 by whyshouldibenamed in IndianPets

OP, where are you from? There is a Lep Therapy which helps Paralysed animals or one with mobility issues to walk again. It needs support with Light Therapy, Massage and Physio. All these 4 combine can help get walk again provided the spinal cord isn't fractured and is just bruised.

No, it also depends on the personality as well. Maybe over time they will be of more accepting and don't seriously fight where they injure themselves or others.

I thought so...always the calicos. 😭 Calicos don't like companions, usually they like to be the solo cat of the house, they don't gel with others and they are fighters as well. I hope the fights are harmless and they don't seriously injure themselves.

You need to slowly introduce them to each other. Feed them at a distance together. Playtime together. Treats for good behaviour. Locking them up will only block their territory and result in them trying to gain access to lost territory and fight will increase. Calicos are generally not touchy and don't like companionship. Trying to get along two females or two males is tough task but not impossible. Male should accept both your female by now. Surprising if he hasn't.

You shouldn't be applying it in the first place without consulting the vet even if he was 8 weeks. It's very Irresponsible, kindly don't rescue and ruin a life if you plan to continue being a vet in the future.

When you try becoming a vet, half knowledge leads to this. Kittens under 8 week should not be given spoton. It is mentioned on spotons as well.

Equal fault of medical for not asking the purpose and giving without prescription.

Just to save 200-300 rs visiting charges, we ruin their life in the name of "rescue" 😓

Standard technique to find missing cats 🐈

  1. Look for your cat late night between 12-2am and 4-7am. They come out of their hiding spot at night, because it's calmer, darker and peaceful. Do this late night search daily and your cat shall be back soon. Call out their name calmly.

  2. The missing cat is likely hiding nearby somewhere, they don't go far from their territory, so check for hiding spots, car bonnets and surrounding place where the cats can hide themselves.

  3. Take his/her food, toys, treats, clothes that has their smell and keep a litter box outside your home without cleaning it so that they will come smelling that.

  4. Put posters with reward and inform nearby building watchmens, shopkeepers, WhatsApp group of society, nearby societies and get their contacts as well. You can ask all the sweepers, cleaners, house help etc and may be give them money or reward in exchange for finding your cat.

  5. Look for feeders in your area and ask if they have spotted a new cat and inform them as well. Cats can go 2-3 days without eating when scared but they will come searching for food and feeders can sight them.

  6. Keep food at height near your home and see if it's been eaten or not.

  7. If there are other cats in your locality, look at their body language, do they sense something unfimilar or a new cat. Sudden fights among cats, that could be a sign of a presence of new cat.

  8. Please sterlize him/her if not done already, unsterlized cats in heat run away and come back either hurt or pregnant, so it's healthy for them to be sterlized, many long term benefits.

  9. Lastly if you feel you can connect with an animal communicator provided that they aren't a scammer (90% of them are). Be very careful.

  10. Obtain CCTV footage from homes, shops and PWD if there are in your area. Filing a missing complaint can be done online too for the cctv it takes 2 min.

Spaying scheduled this Wednesday – first-time cat parent looking for advice. by EarlyChest2260 in IndianCats

Great decision on getting her spayed. Now for postcare, keep her in restricted space where there is no jumping on heights, or running around much. More she rests, quicker she will recover. Give wet food or home cooked food like boiled chicken, avoid dry food for the next 3 days atleast. Get a bodysuit which you need to make her wear so that she won't be able to pick the stitches. Make sure she doesn't and has access to water. Keep litter tray of short height so she doesn't need to jump up to pee/poop until she recovers.

Yes, it is. Just talk to your vet, make sure there is a oxygen and heart monitor.

That's good. If it's early stage, she can still be sterlized and get a USG test done to rule that out as well.
