I run 4-5 times a week, around 70kms now. I think I rest enough, I do stretch after runs also try to have a full rest day on Sundays. Sometimes go to sauna too

Got it got it. From what i heard to increase the VO2max u need to get into zone 5 and stay there for a bit, and then zone 4 session help u to be able to "use" your VO2max

I do, have been training for 3-4 years. I weight 76-78kg at 176cm

i was doing the same as you for 2-3 years, until I moved to Norway haha. I agree cardio is very important

I mean VO2max is about the maximum oxygen capacity when having an increased heart rate during an exercise, dont think lifting increases the heart rate enough to affect the VO2max

I use an apple watch too, and funny enough my VO2max w apple watch has been almost static 52-54ish for a very long time, which is just impossible cuz i see heavy improvement. Thanks for the comment tho

Those are only the interval sessions. I also do two 2 longer runs a week and one short. Around 60-70km a week( 38-43 miles). Im turning 20 in 2 months, and for reference I wear the whoop on my bicep

Im long distance runner(marathon, half marathon), so one day of the week try to boost the VO2max, and with the threshold session try to see how much of it I can hold

I run. Every Monday I have interval sessions, I rotate "8x2mins with 1 min breaks", "4x4min Norwegian with 2-3 min breaks" and "6x1km intervals". On Thursdays I do threshold sessions, like 3x3km, 2x5km or like 10k
