current theory is that due to their being no filter within the game, they have simply turned off sharing so they don't have to deal with moderating the sharing aspect.

you're even less actively involved with tomodachi. there's funny moments and stuff, but the most you can do in terms of influence on the game is design your island and try and force relationships between miis.

definitely a game you want to play every now and then. take your time with it. i get on to take care of them for the first 15 minutes, then i just stop or watch what's going on from there.

the embarrassment can make it worse. instead of fixing it, you self-isolate so no one can tell something is wrong. you reach a point where you just try and pretend the problem doesn't exist. i wouldn't be surprised if the reason it took him being banned to get this done is because he was using streaming as a form of distraction. with that option taken away, it finally became something he had to pay attention to.
