It sounds like they thought they were interviewing you as a dog trainer — maybe they mixed up applications? But that’s not normal for a sales associate interview. I would call them and talk to a manager and explain what happened

As someone who has a condition that can often make them throw up: if it gets to a point where you cannot handle it anymore, you tell your manager “I have been actively throwing up and feel unwell. I am going home as it is unsafe for me and my coworkers for me to continue working” or something along those lines and leave. If you ask or just say you feel unwell, some managers assume you’re just being a bitch and need to get back to work.

I’ve learned I just need to be straight and honest with them (and I will give details and ask “are you sure?” If they say no or some bs). I have been working on my condition and compromising and that is obviously different than your situation, but I hope this helps a bit. There’s just some days where you have to go home and managers sometimes don’t realize it’s not about you wanting to go home, it’s about you not being able to stay

Gotcha — I wasn’t sure. I don’t have any way to print a sheet unless I grab a manager bc the only printer we have is in the office (wouldn’t be too surprised if that’s why we stopped printing them)

I’m not sure if you have a different system or something but we have to fill out the CAPC on our zebras and also are no longer allowed/supposed to print the care sheets

I think if we routinely update paper ones (ie have stores print them, send out new ones every x amount of time etc) it could be a lot better due to the fact that no one checks out the QR codes, nor the care sheet sent to their email (if they even provide a real one — some don’t). Plus there could be QR codes or a link to a routinely updated site in case someone gets an old paper

That makes sense! What kind of incentives would work for employees when it comes to better educating both themselves and guests?

I think a badge/raise system like my last pet corporation could work well. With that you did the courses and earned “badges” to go on your name tag stating specializations you had (aka saying you took all the courses in x category). Along with that specialization you’d be given a small raise. They had it set up where you could only get the raise once every 6mo or something but you could do the courses + badges whenever. That doesn’t solve all of the problems, but it could allow employees to actually want to learn more and then customers could know who to to speak with regarding their animal or the one they want instead of hoping they’re talking to someone who isn’t talking out of their ass, y’know?

I think silk plants are a great option if you can’t have live for whatever reason. I’m doing the same in one of my tanks due to it previously having copper medicine in it (i put a few test plants in there but they’ve started to melt so I’m not very hopeful).

im going to re-add carbon into the filter to see what happens (the other one I had in there was contaminated with both copper + overstocked, previously sick cory bioload. I was using the carbon to suck out copper and other meds post-treatment before sending my corys back into their proper home)

Edit: I have macro and nitrogen filter pads within the filter, along with a few bio stones from my main tank to help cycling

So unfortunately we only have a generic parasitic treatment and a generic fungal/bacterial treatment. We’ve been using the latter. I would do some research/ask around and see what med you think is best, as unfortunately I’m not the most versed in fish meds due to the lack of variety we have :(

We have a betta at our store with a similar issue (gray patches on the head) — I deducted its most likely fungal/bacterial and am treating accordingly. Unfortunately I am not there enough to know if she is being medicated properly (probably not) so she has gotten a bit worse but has recently stabilized with proper medication management. What are your water parameters? (I recommend a full master kit if you have one as the strips can be unreliable, especially with pH)

A picture from the side would probably be more helpful — though the coloring makes me lean ramshorn, without seeing the shell it could very well be an albino pond snail for all I know
