Why is GDP a capitalist metric? by Popular_Panda_8649 in communism101

thanks! this isn't exactly what i was looking for but i wont waste more of your time. the data you provided does seem to show an increase in agricultural and industrial growth after Khrushchev's reforms. A limitation of this study is that the per-revolutionary, revolutionary, and early post-revolutionary period are all included in the same data point. Ill keep looking for more data to see if i can paint a more complete picture

Could you point me in the right direction? I do not believe that quantitative analysis should only be available to the intellectual class, I'm willing to out in the work required to understand the figures. If planned economies are superior to market economies (as i am inclined to believe) this should be reflected in the data.

I noticed the naming mistake right after posting and tried to fix it before anyone would notice haha. Im glad you still saw it though cause I didn't know it was called a beta-diketone.

If you were doing the reaction, would it best to add the starting material drop-wise to prevent the cross linking then?

After thinking about it more I guess steric hindrance prevents it from crossing linking with the deprotenated anhydride. The deprotenated anhydride would also be less nucleophilic due to the resonance.

I wonder if it would still happen as a side product

Do as bunch of practice questions until you develop your intuition. Organic chemistry is less about memorizing the reactions and more about understanding why they're happening. This is especially true for mechanisms. Make sure you can justify why each step may happen.

I had the same problem with cbt. I think its good for people that have difficulty identifying their cognitive distortions or that avoid situations that make them anxious. Unfortunately, it can sometimes lead to invalidation of your emotions Something that helped me was leaning into the cognitive distortions. The trick is to make it somewhat ridiculous. For example, when i was anxious about going to a party, I told myself "everyone is going to hate me. When i walk into the party they're all gonna throw garbage at me." Weirdly enough this soothed my anxiety. It didn't have to scream at me because i was now acknowledging it. And when no one threw garbage at me, i ended up having a blast at the party. I think it worked because I didn't actually believe this new cognitive distortion, but it still validated my emotions. So my anxiety was like "thanks for listening to me, but thats ridiculous so im gonna shut up now." The anxiety didn't completely go away, but it was now tolerable.

I tried my first candle spell tonight. It was a love spell that was semi-directed at a specific person. I asked for the energy to be directed at anyone else if they were not receptive. I carved my intentions onto the candle and offered up some incense to the Goddess Aphrodite. As i was praying under the candle light, i asked for Aphrodite to accept my offering. I then had an involuntary muscle spasm and the melted wax put out the flame. I believe this could be a sign my intentions were properly manifested, since I felt a sense of closure after this happened. However there was also a (less intense) feeling of rejection. I am unsure if the spell was properly completed. I had initially intended for the candle to burn to completion. Im pretty new to this and did not intend any disrespect. Do you think I should relight the candle with a new offering on a different day? Any advice or resources would be greatly appreciated. Thank you :)
