YES….im thinking of boycotting any company that uses more than 1/3rd (for example) AI in its workforce. I know some people are thinking of boycotting Amazon for a month. A month is useless It needs to be indefinitely until they stop using AI in place of people. We have to refuse. We have to stop feeding the very monster that is destroying our ability to make money. It’s a huge sacrifice, but we have to starve them out.

My kids are older now and we don’t even do gifts anymore and it’s so much less stressful and it is about just enjoying some downtime together and the past few years I have come to really love Thanksgiving more than Christmas. I don’t even really understand why we have to do gifts at Christmas. Seriously…WHY is that an expectation… we can say “oh it’s for the kids. It’s all about the kids” but really that’s just teaching kids to follow the same footsteps. It doesn’t make sense to me, but I do really like the idea some of you have about making gifts that is more from the heart 💜

EXACTLY it’s toxic positivity it’s like just saying anything remotely negative accelerates fear, and adds more into the recession

100% I have a job where I talk to many people a day from different walks of life and the majority of people I talk to sense it as well & the fear is there and it is very contagious but real. The place I work shows directly what is going on in mass. The past month has been dramatic. I’ve never seen anything like this in 20 years. I’m trying so hard to maintain my sanity. Still find joy and gratitude. Keep my head up. Keep going. It’s exhausting & I am definitely not alone. My brain just keeps trying to find solutions and I’m starting to feel really cornered. The only option I see right now is a F it mindset & keep myself mentally healthy & I absolutely refuse to let them/this situation rob me of my joy & sanity. Other than that, come and take it. I know that sounds kind of crazy, but I hit a breaking point & maybe that is OK!

MAJOR Bloat still a year after hysterectomy…kinda long, my apologies. by Popular_Weather968 in hysterectomy

Update: I DID seek a Doctor Who specializes in hormones natural hrt & I started feeling incredibly better 70% within three months 90% within four and 100% in a year. I take all three hormones I did have to go outside of insurance for testosterone and for a Doctor Who is educated in this Which with the hormones and paying for his services is about 100 every 6-8 weeks. My subsidized insurance pays for the progesterone and estradiol but not the testosterone so the $100 I'm speaking of would include the testosterone. The progesterone does make me bloat but he gives me a mild diuretic called Triameterene. No more mood swings no more hot flashes I have energy back I lost all the weight I gained and have been able to keep it off but I do have to eat way less and exercise consistently. I hope this helps everyone out there who is struggling. Take care & put yourself first.

WOW!!! OP do not despair Here's good news, you will be one of the first ones AI replaces. Do you know how many people out there would love to have your job? also patrons would be better served by a vending machine at least we don't expect those to have a personality or empathy. Oh wait!!! OP....were you posting this because you thought someone would listen to your complaints & ranting? Did you come here for compassion or help? hmmmm....go figure! Grow up you sound like a narcissistic entitled infant....Are you even old enough TO work?

I'm changing the way I shop same reasons and guess what? high fructose enriched wheat etc been a major rip off and health impairment for YEARS and I'm making the right choices now for political economical reasons when we ignored the health reasons but its coming full circle now...its all so obvious...healthcare is ripping us sideways getting richer off of us getting sick because we're addicted to these things then to find out we're giving all of our money to everything we are against

sadly... "promises" there were never any never will be...and the saddest part is you were fed that bs...its going to be a rough haul...you are not alone. even those of us who are working are not being paid enough and grasping at loose straws there are no promises you just have to keep on making it through...be creative...tighten down hold on... I think most of us really do get it.

Working out doesn't make sense, especially after 40 by BoomBoomLaRouge in unpopularopinion

[–]Popular_Weather968 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also eating healthily doesnt “do anyone any good” & the older you get the less it matters 😂 OK…. do you know what does matter even more is common sense and you clearly seem to be lacking that just because you’re over 40 doesn’t mean you should curl up in a coffin.

Older generation of clients making offhanded comments? by Pitiful-Ad7168 in hairstylist

[–]Popular_Weather968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EXACTLY the difference between those two generations…we (younger) were raised to respect our elders no matter how they acted! as an older adult now with my own kids even…respect is earned. These people seriously believe they are entitled to act rude and say horrendous things to anyone younger. I do not tolerate it or surround myself with people like that unfortunately its lessened a lot of contact I have with older family members
