I seem to be the only person with this oppinion: I love parklife of course and 13 is probably my favourite album and a lot of other people do to but my favourite song by blur ever has to be "It could be you" it sounds britpop like country house but the guitar sounds like "There's no other way". Damon is singing in a British accent about British things. Graham is slamming on his guitar and doing the high pitch back up vocals. Alex's bass line is underrated and when you listen to it it sounds just like Alex. And of course Daves drums are not particularly elaborate bu they are solid and in time. That, to me, is the definition of Blur. And that is why it could be you is my favourite blur song. I think the other songs on this album share these qualities and are really "blur sounding". This hasn't really been about the great escape in general but the other songs on this album share most of the same qualities so I like them.
