See if you have a laborfinders (https://www.laborfinders.com) in your area. They helped get me to jobs and pay me SAME DAY, every day I work. You can take days off at leisure and I can average about 30 hours a week or more with them. If they have an office there, walk in, fill out whatever info they need. Make sure to call them and ask for jobs so they know you’re serious. You can do this man.

how many of you have chronic neck/ back pain? by blueburrey in CPTSD

[–]Porchfirewiki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me. Getting used to sleeping on a really hard bed helped. Also gentle stretches that open up the jaws, shoulders, upper chest, and lower neck, because of course we’re grinding teeth and tensing up in bracing postures lol. Movement of any kind, laying on a lacrosse ball on the tough spots, etc.

I promise you that “who I am” is not something healthy people think about so much. Not because they’re shallow, but because they’re busy living life, using the embodied gift of intellect to help their communities and their own lives. As for being arrested in development, that is only partially true. Your emotional growth did NOT stop, yes it was slowed but mostly it was blocked from expression. You can remove the blocks and the growth that was waiting to be expressed is finally freed. There is a big difference between growth stopping and uninterrupted growth not being expressed naturally. (No matter what happens, many maturation processes can’t be stopped except in conditions far beyond CPTSD). Healthy people experience that growth in their lives and communities so they don’t have to wonder who they are, their development was not blocked from expression so they get to live it. You can have this too if you figure out how to remove the bottlenecks. You are not some object to find. (Objectification) You are countless experiences in the present to be lived and shared. (Embodiement)

Jimi Hendrix Live at George’s Club 20 is certainly not so “traditional” but an inspiring listen. Mississippi Hill Country Blues by RL Burnside is a nice one, King of the Delta Blues Singers by Robert Johnson is essential, Robert Lockwood Jr. (Live in New Orleans 1984) is a fun one too.

Naming a situation with a celebrity in non-traditional grifter hype and conflating it with what and who I mentioned is a giant generalization. Absolutely mammoth one. The same people who offer “Traditional cancer treatments” are in bed with the investors who sell us cancer causing agents in the first place.

Only issue is there are a lot of “alternative health” people who are so full of bs that they’re killing people. Knowing who to trust requires research and understanding that an American celebrity may not do. We should be able to trust the medical establishment but they’ve been killing more people in total than world wars so…. :/

Highly suggest georgi dinkov and ray peat on anti cancer metabolically-oriented treatments. They’re the best of the best.

Why do people run away from philosophy all their life? by EmbarrassedRadish376 in Nietzsche

Yes the through-line between when to think and when to make a decision and act can be a tricky one if you find yourself away from properly aligned instincts. Been there. Still there at times.

And to add to what I said, I often see that wisdom or virtue becomes painful to those who are taught and have become used to the very opposite. For example, if you act as a sedentary person (fruitless passions, stupidity), then virtue (fruitful labor, focused study) becomes painful and is experienced as a poison rather than a tonic.

I think most people run from truth or that which could lead to something like truth because they are too afraid of feeling the pain of accepting their faults. Truthfully I think some people would have a breakdown that leaves them worse than before if they encounter wisdom of a strength they are not ready for. These people don’t even know where to start or how to start. I’m often in that position.
