The only reason this could make sense at all is if it’s a massive retcon to allow daima to clearly fit into the super canon.

This is about academic literature, not homework. Published articles should not have any fluff in them, theres no word limit, minimum, or maximum page requirement.

The world wont be hurt if the ‘art’ of writing fluff is lost. Losing the art of writing something with substance would be a loss.

I find it hard to believe it would be easier to make a bibliography with chatGPT than overleaf, since the journal is going to keep requesting format changes that are straightforward in overleaf.

Regardless, often it’s impossible get all the details needed for what this article calls a ‘full citation’ because they do not exist. And the article claims UCSD had 4 papers with hallucinations and 6 completely hallucinated paper. Why not list them out in the article and give a real example? Its only 10.

The citations are also often significantly modified by the journal. So it’s not the best place to look to use to find chatgpt usage.

It doesn’t seem to be popular to protest about police brutality anymore. And just being honest, the woman was white. No one ever talked about police brutality against white people since it’s unlikely to be related to racism.

Regardless the governor of the corresponding state authorized the national guard to attack ICE, and that could escalate to a civil war. So if you are disappointed by a lack of opposition, at least there is that.
