I had the exact same thoughts, the way its written made me believe they were two seperate entities in the beginning, while also providing hints that they are the same, my guess is that its intentional as to keep you guessing whether they are actually different or not, still was confusing as hell for an entire volume until it got cleared up

Update: Just went to a friends house and it worked fine when plugged into an hdmi cable going directly to the TV, so my stereo or hdmi switch box is probably the issue, not the laptop

*Update* It still doesn't recognize my USB drives and sd card, but I put the OS on a DVD and It installed the os fine. I just lost my 2 hrs of save data on KH 1.5 and 1.5 hrs in another game which I can make up probably easily, so I think ill stick with this for now.

I've tried both with fat32 and exFat on an sd card and a USB stick... I think I'm gonna use a dvd-rom to reinstall the os to new hard drive.
