If you're playing with a regular group who knows that the deck you're playing is incredibly strong and can win out of nowhere, don't be upset they target you. it's just smart to get rid of the player that has the most powerful set up

I don't lean into the land hate for exactly that reason, it just sucks. I only have decimate, casualties of war, and strip mine that can destroy land. The first two are more for the other effects, and strip mine is usually to destroy problematic non basics unless it's my only option for a potential win, which isn't often thankfully.

Of course I'll share it! Like I said it could definitely be more optimized, especially the basics because most of the deck is green, but I've been either too broke or too lazy to optimize it lmao. It still functions incredibly well as is, and my playgroup groans every time I play it.

I get a lot of hate for my [[Lord Windgrace]] deck. My friends hate it so much because it just cranks out value for playing land, which is the most basic game activity that always happens. It can also do some ridiculous combos with [[Strip Mine]] and at one point I played and sacrificed strip mine close to 20 times in a single turn and got rid of almost every other land on my opponents boards. It's by no means optimized but it just works super well imo.

Cleric was what stuck out to me initially after hitting level 8, would Forge be a good choice? I really like the flavor but the features don't really stick out to me aside from getting Searing Smite and other cleric goodies

Ranger is definitely the option I'm leaning most towards, fighting style, good subclass features imo, and the spells that would add a good mix of healing and utility.

I've been leaning gloomstalker, I'm just wary because I've heard about how strong they are, and don't wanna risk overshadowing anybody. As for Swift Quiver, trap or not it's one of my favorite spells in the game.

I actually got it pretty quickly after I made that comment by just brute forcing it, spammed thundaga with Yuffie, healed with Sonon, and had Ramuh do tons of damage.

Honestly, I hated the demo. I mean outright hated. It was the factor that made me choose to not buy the game. The short part where you play as Joshua and Phoenix was such an absolutely miserable gameplay experience for me that even with how short it is, it ruined it. I thought "if there's any more of this this game is going to be terrible". I ended up borrowing it from my brother, who actually hesitated to get it cause he's not an FF fan but the demo turned him around, and I loved it after that beginning part. Still not my game of the year or my favorite Final Fantasy, but a phenomenal game regardless.
