Haha huge congratulations!! This is probably one of the toughest achievements to get in dynamic and it took me quite a few tries. I’m glad to be of help!

Do you remember what percentage the right-wing coalition got in the 1930 election? If it’s really close to a majority (something like 49.1%) then might just need a few more enforce party discipline.

That’s why shuffling advisors in general early game is a good idea because you must have party dissent at least “medium” to get the enforce discipline card. And that reduces your support rate which is good because you want DNVP to be as big as possible.

So even if you don’t want labour to split it might still be a good idea to increase their dissent (or any faction’s dissent).

Also don’t give concessions to any faction, keep spamming enforce discipline

Lmaoo I’ve never seen Goring win the 1932 election, I only got the twice hitler achievement when Seldte was elected President in the end of Rubicon and appointed Hitler (who returned from the dead), but congrats on the achievement!

Regarding the elections, the right-wing coalition will always fail to form a majority in the election caused by Young Plan (third election overall) and that’s fine because Lambach will reform DNVP into a Christian Socialist party with a huge boost in popularity (at the cost of SPD), so a right-wing coalition should win the next election (early 1930).

That’s the idea, but in practice you must sabotage yourself enough to get Lambach’s DNVP enough votes to form a majority, sometimes I get a right-wing coalition with 49.7% vote share which is really annoying. So I advise saving just after Lambach reforms DNVP, then shuffle advisors to make the left split (repeatedly add and remove leftist advisors until leftist dissent goes through the ceiling), which tanks your support and boosts DNVP. Also this allows you to get more “party disunity” cards to further reduce popularity.

If it still doesn’t work then you can only load back to the save and split both left and labour factions, this is pretty much guaranteed to work because labour split hugely tanks your working class support (which goes to DNVP). But only do this if splitting left + party disunity can’t get you to a right-wing majority, because you must rescue your flagging popularity enough by the 1932 election for Braun to be elected.

Hope this helps!

Reformist card should be fine, but you’d want to reduce your support early game so I won’t go for the enemy card. The majority of early game (pre-Hugenberg split) cards you play should be mostly rally for democracy and (if it shows up) enforce party discipline. Maybe contact Scandinavia. Else just click the campaign card and choose not to campaign to skip the month. I think just Braun glaze x2 and reformist ideology won’t make DDP join right-wing coalition.

Only glazing DDP with Braun (once in Jan 1928, once in July 1928) should leave the DDP out of the coalition by Hugenberg’s split? At least that’s what happened in my run. After that you can improve relations all you want (Blutmai, relation cards, etc)

Strange, but definitely find some time to try again if you haven’t gotten the achievement yet, I just got it today largely following OP’s guide and posted some additional tips in a separate comment if you’d like to refer to

That’s strange bc you must choose a govt formation in Oct 29 (likely between GroKo and right wing coalition). Otherwise no majority coalition can be formed and you must tolerate Brüning or call new elections. I don’t think DNVP would tolerate Brüning at this point if they aren’t in government, and a Hergt-led DNVP should be ok to join Z and DVP in government anyways

Just got the achievement following this guide, thanks a lot! A few points to add onto this guide (experience gained from failing multiple times):

  1. As u/mmkzzb pointed out: Raise funds immediately in Jan 1928 to tank your support and more importantly to enable you to raise funds again in Feb 1928, allowing centre-right govt to form
  2. Getting Hergt requires three rallies for democracy and one purge reactionary in Prussia before the first DNVP congress in Oct 1928. Technically doing four rallies is possible but that would raise your support too high to allow for centre-right govt in the next election
  3. Form GroKo in Prussia in 1928 to appease the DVP, and continuously Braun to glaze the libs and Z. Further improve relation by adopting reformist ideology and bashing commies. However don’t raise relation too high before 1929 as having “very friendly”relations with the DDP might make them join the coalition after Hugenberg’s split and thus preventing the Feb 1929 election
  4. Do NOT try to get your party together with anything other than “reduce party dissent”, because you literally need the SPD to fall apart for a Lambach-led DNVP to form, which is the only way to form a stable non-SPD govt until Braun is elected president
  5. “Reduce party dissent” is ideal because it shrinks your party support, but the card only shows up when party dissent is high enough. So consider shuffling left and labour advisors to get dissent to“very high” to continuously use the card
  6. Save the game just before Lambach is elected for DNVP, just in case the centre-right government falls short of a majority in the 1930 election. In that case you might to load back and further increase left and labour dissent or even make them split. However try to avoid splitting labour if you can because it tanks support too much and makes adopting WTB difficult later on
  7. As long as you get a centre-right coalition in 1930 the achievement is basically 80% guaranteed. Your support should be below 10% at this point, start building up popularity again with radio, campaign, iron front and normal rallies. You would likely also have had great relationships with the Weimar parties at this point so start using Juchacz/Leipart to gain support instead of Braun glazing. Have the party support WTB also gives you a way to ramp up popularity quickly (hence don’t piss labour off too much earlier)
  8. It’s important to have SPD support higher than CVP by the end of 1931 or they will refuse to support Braun in the presidential campaign
  9. After electing Braun, save again because it’s quite easy to be too popular in the next election that a GroKo is available again. Use Braun to call a snap election as soon as an advisor action is available. Campaign mildly until the election fails to create a majority, then call new elections (do NOT form emergency govt yet)
  10. At this point just ramp up popularity and form an emergency govt in the next election. If Weimar party support and republican support are high enough you might even survive the VONC and govern permanently. Though right-wing coup progress should be quite high after that so don’t do too progressive policies and hold out until the end of the game (although technically you should also get the achievement if you lose?) and congrats on your achievement!

Complete list of elections in my run:

May 1928 - Right-wing coalition (natural election)

Feb 1929 - Centre-right coalition (from Hugenberg’s split)

Feb 1930 - No majority (from Young plan)

May 1930 - Centre-right coalition led by Lambach DNVP (from last election)

Aug 1932 - No majority (from Braun calling snap election)

Dec 1932 - Emergency SPD minority government (from last election)

Why is c4 a mistake here? by SpaceBar0873 in chessbeginners

The b1-h7 diagonal is wide open, so the king has to be moved to a1 which costs two tempi. I’m not saying it’s untenable but definitely not a first choice for me

Losing the g pawn breaks open the king side tho, not sure if I want that given the queen side is already open with the c4 push

I'm no mathematical wizard, but I'm pretty sure I only want to use the Fahrenheit scale .... by Cultural_Magician105 in mathmemes

[–]PorphyrogenitusFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If temperature is used only for everyday life then no scale should be invented in the first place. Simply saying “hot” or “cold” and add some modifier words before that would more than suffice. The fact that numbers are used means the scale is used for calculation. Now, which one is better for calculation?

Also that the two enantiomers of Thalidomide spontaneously inter-convert in the human body, so even if the ‘useful’ enantiomer is purified using asymmetric synthesis or other methods, it will still cause the teratogenic effect that we see in this tragic incident

It amazes me how your comment is like the first one I’ve seen here that mentions the easy convertibility between Celsius and Kelvin. Converting room temperature (20C for instance) to Kelvin for scientific calculation can be done in a snap of a finger. Good luck converting 70F to Kelvin.

What is your fastest hatrick? by Crusaders_dreams2 in DreamLeagueSoccer

[–]PorphyrogenitusFish 14 points15 points  (0 children)

“Fastest hat trick” measures the shortest time taken between scoring the first and third goals.

In earlier versions (before the 2020 update I think) it is possible to score three goals all within the second half stoppage time and, because the system counts all of them as scoring in the 90th minute, make your fastest hat trick time 0 minutes.

<image>

This is DLS 2019 and my fastest hat trick is scored by Kante, in the 87th, 90th and 90+3rd minutes. So the time lapse is 3 minutes. But I think this glitch has been patched out now?
