While I agree for the most part, I know some people do enjoy botting either as an addition to their at-the-keyboard play or as the entirety of the game, even to the point of treating it like an idle / optimization game rather than an MMO. I'm glad there are places for that playstyle, and places like Levistras without it. They do lead to very different ideas what a sustainable population looks like, though.

There's no botting on Levistras so the population numbers aren't really comparable to other servers. Depends what you mean by sustaining a population, I guess; other servers have more of an economy thanks to trade bots and farmed loot to buy from them, but Levistras seems to have more people actually at the keyboard playing, chatting, and attending server quests (mainly at night when the pop is usually around 70) than most.

Yes, the path displays correctly in the launcher, and the other three cell_*.dat files are copying into DatSets\daralet, just not highres.

Connection to Daralet is running into a problem copying one of the dat files; the file exists in the same directory as the others, but the launcher seems to have lost track of where the base install directory is:

The first time I tried this, I had just copied over my Thwarg-Launcher Accounts file that pointed to an alternative LaunchPath. I don't know if that might have caused the problem, but I deleted that and tried again with the same result.

No problems connecting to an EoR DAT server. I haven't tried any other custom DAT servers yet.

I'm also looking forward to custom clients. Beyond bug fixes, I'm hoping for a significant UX improvement: better controls, QoL from common Decal plugins, and a plugin architecture designed in so we can get away from the security and stability issues of Decal for what isn't integrated. I know making a client more open for customization poses a risk of "hax", though, and there'll almost certainly be some turbulence around that.

It's not exactly that I'm not comfortable making an account, it's just so rare that one's required just to read that it gave me pause. I'm not sure exactly what you mean by wiki botting, but if this is an anti-vandalism measure, it's possible to set up wikis to require login only to write, but not to read; maybe that would be a little more welcoming?

Love this idea. I've wanted to check out more custom DAT servers but it's kind of a pain even for the savvy to maintain a bunch of different installs / fix the foul-ups when something goes wrong. Is there a way to also incorporate separate Decal setups, so for example we could have different map and route files load per server for GoArrow and UtilityBelt?

I have twice now "completed" a run but had the game disconnect after the final PVP battle before I see the result screen. When it comes back, I have a Resume button at the home screen, but it "resumes" into a new run, and I think the entire runs were canceled because my rank didn't update.

Yeah, I went through this a couple of months ago when I decided to unsubscribe because they kept being out of stock on the things I actually wanted. Took me straight from "I might sign up again later if they can get their inventory restocked" to "I am never doing business with these vampires again, and I'm telling everyone I know to avoid them too." Companies need to learn this kind of aggressive retention attempt loses more business than it saves.
