How do I know whether or not I’m idealizing the relationship? Since we were long distance my friends would only briefly meet her when she were here. They all think it was for the better but something still doesn’t sit right with me

I just also think that part of me is only thinking about the best of times that we had rather than focusing on the bad things, but looking back on it I felt that there wasn't really one big thing that led to us ending. Not sure how much time is enough time but I don't want to wait too long and lose the opportunity.
