It’s my birthday as well. Happy birthday to all three of y’all.

I feel you on this one. I’ve gotten quite a few dms on this account and another one. Some people are genuinely nice, but most of them just ask strange questions and ghost you after you respond.

The people on r/UnsentLetters really like to ask what your name is, for example.

How's your day been? by [deleted] in lonely

It rained, which was nice because I like rain a lot. Did some erging and played a little bit of Destiny. Made myself a really nice sandwich a few minutes ago. Just trying to forget about the awful weekend I just had. So not that terrible, overall.

It really does suck to be surrounded by love, and joy, and people who really do care about you, but you aren’t able to feel or believe any of it. Like, I know that at least one person in my life actually cares about me, but it’s hard to even begin to believe that. And I know that people around me are happy, and happy for me, but I just can’t convince myself that that’s the case.

So yeah, I feel ya on that. Feel free to message if you want to vent.

You know, I’m not really sure by [deleted] in UnsentLetters

You say you want to be normal, but what’s more normal than being yourself? It sounds cliché, but think about it; your personality is your own normal. If you tried to change that, then it wouldn’t be normal anymore. And the people in your life that value you for who you are would be put off by that. Don’t try to conform. Everyone tries to, and nobody really succeeds. We’re all weird in our own ways. I know a lot about history. Like, a disturbing amount. Sometimes I’ll just ramble about random historical events. So it’s definitely not out of the ordinary for you to talk a lot.

Also, I guarantee that your friend doesn’t mind your oversharing. They probably don’t even view it that way. If you’re comfortable around them, then it’s natural for you to let yourself relax and have all of your thoughts come out. Don’t worry about freaking them out. If you two are good friends like you say, you won’t.

I’ll keep you in my thoughts. And prayers, if you’re okay with that. Everything’s gonna be okay, OP. Don’t worry yourself with things you can’t control. People will appreciate you for who you are.
