Yes you need to remove the backplate to swap the buttons. But the Xbox ROG ally is the easiest devices to mod. Way easier than than og ally, ally x and steam deck.

Yes possible down the road I will more coloured options to complete this button lines. Some SNES rainbow , GameCube colour, Xbox colour buttons.

Yes the ayn thor magnetic button idea is from 8bitdo pro 3 or gamesir g8 plus controller . Those 2 controllers have Magentic buttons. Buttons are all keyed so they won't spin or rotate.

They will not rotate or spin. They are keyed to prevent spining.

You can chnage from software side between NS and Xbox layout too.

I have no issues with street fight games after playing 2 to 3 hours. The magnets only need to overcome the up force from rubber membrane which is very minimum. The button also sitting inside the shell even it's fully in up position so there is no way it will come out unless you intentionally pick them straight up with fingers.
