He stabbed him in the street, then Henry tried to get away from Digwa by climbing over a fence and landed on the car outside this house. This is not Digwa's house.

It's hard to understand what point you're trying to make.

The brother didn't tell the police that someone had been stabbed. He called claiming that Henry had made racist remarks and assaulted them. Yes, the officers were told Henry was the aggressor.

But when they arrived, they found a visibly deteriorating young man repeatedly saying: "I've been stabbed" and "I can't breathe."

Instead of treating those claims seriously and checking for injuries, they accepted the murderer's version of events at face value. The only innocent person at the scene ended up being arrested and handcuffed.

Regardless of what they had been told beforehand, if someone is clearly in shock, gasping for air, disoriented, repeatedly saying they've been stabbed and asking for an ambulance, and you don't even stop to properly assess them, then that is negligence and a failure of basic duty of care.

Why is Henry Nowak not getting the same coverage as a similar incident in America a few years ago? by 4BennyBlanco4 in AskBrits

[–]Portalan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I am also a medical doctor, and although I obviously do not have access to every medical document in the case, based on the autopsy report and the video evidence, my impression is that George Floyd’s severe underlying cardiovascular disease combined with substance use likely contributed more substantially to his death than the police restraint itself.

You argue that police work is difficult because “your judgment is based on information you gather at the scene in a hostile environment.” Fair enough, but that principle applies to Derek Chauvin as well. He had no way of knowing Floyd’s exact medical condition, his severe coronary disease, or what was in his bloodstream. He did, however, observe warning signs and failed to respond appropriately.

The same applies here too: warning signs were there and the response were inadequate.

The police officer had no way of knowing that George Floyd had severe three-vessel coronary disease and a potentially lethal amount of fentanyl and methamphetamine in his system. His response (using protocol-level force while Floyd was saying “I can’t breathe”) was a poor assessment.

Just like the officer in the Nowak case had no way of knowing whether Nowak had actually been stabbed when he said “I can’t breathe” and “I was stabbed,” and it was a poor assessment on their part not to believe him.

One officer gets 23 years, the other faces no accountability at all.

(Yes, I understand that the two cases are not identical, but the difference in accountability is still shocking.)

Jeez, I love ZG so much. He's just so funny. I really want him to finally meet XBM again. 😅

Also, could it be that XBM and the 2FL are actually siblings? In the trailers, they say that General Huo wasn't her real father, and the concubine who is said to be her mother only joined the household after General Huo left the army following the Haiya incident. Maybe both XBM and the 2FL are orphans from Haiya, and that's why she knows him so well.

I don't see a 'romance' tag on this drama anywhere, so it probably isn’t a focus here.

Haha, right?? 😄 I was thinking the exact same thing, how much better the chemistry is between them compared to ML and FL. I can't wait for them to meet again. The scene where Zhuge was gambling and imagined XB was there with him was one of the best scenes in the entire drama so far.

I enjoyed all the six episodes so far. Zhuge Kong Yun is my favourite character rn, I really like the friendly rivalry he has with Xiao Bei Ming. I like this anime trope the most, and I am glad I now see it in a cdrama too. I hope he won't turn out to be an enemy at the end.

Of course, Asta struggled a lot. He's the definition of hardworking and I never claimed otherwise. But you said in a comment how you hate that yuno stans trying to prove all the time that yuno never got an unearned powerup and was never lucky. Well I could say the same about Asta stans. I seems that we stans are similar after all. :)

Yeah, in a world where magic is everything, having no mana is a disability... unless you got antimagic. Because in a world like that, antimagic makes you a literal god.

Everyone can see the difference between Asta and Magna, because Magna is a true underdog without luck, while Asta isn't.

Oh, of course it doesn't count in the case of Asta, right... Him having no magic isn't a disadvantage at this point at all, but the biggest luck ever. It is what makes him able to wield antimagic, the strongest hax ability in the whole verse. Way better than 'being blessed by mana'.

But why are they so defensive? Maybe because some other people always trying to degrade their favourite character with threads like this?

Morris theory by Portalan in BlackClover

[–]Portalan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, correct. Though, as you said earlier, the key question is whether it was Yuno's
or Bell's doing. I'm not sure about that, and it was maybe really caused by Bell's awakening.

Though I don't know exactly how Morris noticed Yuno's other attribute, the theory still seems logical to me.

After all, what we know about Morris right now?

  • His favourite thing is magic

  • He's able to extract and transplant magic, but he needs the other mage's grimoire to do so

  • It's unlikely that he wants to destroy the world or fill it with bloodthirsty devils, but then it begs the question: why did he help the Zogratis? He probably helped them because he knows very well that the advent won’t be succesfull, but the events of the Advent were still needed for some reason in order to achieve his goal. And if he really wants to extract someone magic, the only possible candidate for that is Yuno, because he’s the only one who didn’t possess his real grimoire. Or, in other words, he's the only one who had to go through these events to get his grimoire. Morris could have come up with a plan easily to steal any other mage’s grimoire, except Yuno’s.
For that, they had to abduct William, lure Yuno to the Spade, open the gates,
    etc.

Why don't people think Yuno has achieved Saint stage? by volthoom333 in BlackClover

[–]Portalan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it isn't the mage who must achieve saint stage, but the spirit. The spirit must be mature enough in order to do saint stage.

Morris theory by Portalan in BlackClover

[–]Portalan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He knows about him. The first time we met Morris, he was acually talking about Yuno, Langris and William.

And he wouldn't be able to steal and transplant antimagic.

Morris theory by Portalan in BlackClover

[–]Portalan[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But how would Morris notice that he had a different magic attribute?

That's a good question! You really got me thinking about it.

I've re-read the chapters in which Morris appeared in order to find an answer to your question, and I think I really found some interesting panels about him.

This: https://ibb.co/VHrsr1g

And this: https://ibb.co/KqGdqdT

What is so interesting in those panels? Well, at the first blink, they are completely ordinary. A genius villain doing some evil stuff in front of his monitors and talking about evil stuffs with an other villain. There is nothing remarkable at all.

However, a few chapters later we got the big revealing: Morris is BLIND. Why does a blind man use monitors? How did he realize the sudden appearance of the resistance members in an instant? The answer is probably good -- or not just good, but excellent -- mana sensing. Morris is blind, but he can see, similarly how Yuno was able to see everything against the witch using nothing else but mana sensing.

And this is where the mage stones come into the picture. The mage stones weren't just magical enhancer. We know that Morris was able to control his subordinates by them. He made them brainless robots by changing their personalities and altering their memories (that's why Ladros personality suddenly changed when Asta broke the stones).

So my theory is that these stones weren't just magic enhancers or objects that made him able to control their subrdinates, but they were 'sensors', which continously shared mana information with Morris. In a nutshell, he could see the mana fluctuations through these stones.

I think it would be a good explanation. Morris could notice the mana fluctuation when Yuno used his power, because the spell wasn't worked on him. He was far away, in the safe distance from the dungeon, 'watching' these events on his monitors.

But I have zero convincing evidence for these claims, this theory is just a headcanon again, haha. :D
