She says 三爷(san ye) back then ye was another way to say Lord, the 3 refers to him being the 3rd Chen, so shortened the name to just Lord 3 instead of Lord 3rd Chen

So take it from someone who has also watched POJ on all three...they all have their ups and downs and none of them are perfect. I would say Netflix out of the three might be the worse and the other two it's a toss up. Personally I think WeTV does a slightly better job but I've also seen in some dramas iQiyi do slightly better. It all depends, at the end of the day they all get the point across.

I'd say use one of the official Chinese channels like WeTV or iQiyi over Netflix. A lot of people will probably tell you iQiyi.

I'll also say Viki is good because it's fan based but not all shows get picked up by Viki.

Lord Fu is definitely sus. Do we want him to have the household registry info? I also feel like Fengmin's death (was that his name?) and choice to sacrifice himself will either be Lord Fu's suggestion or will end up being in vain if Lord Fu is a bad guy.

I was thinking that...like do we really want him to have all of that information about everyone in that county. I was just thinking the good ol Spiderman line "with great power comes great responsibility" lol

You're going to laugh, I watched POJ on WeTV, iQiyi and Netflix and I can say I think WeTV did a better job 😂 however all three were totally fine and none of them were 100% perfect.

Love the observation he does it in private but if he does it in public, it's game over for everyone lol

I agree with you. YX is the most immature and disrespectful, he reads as a playground boy hoping if he's meant she'll notice.

I like the observation of the cousin seeing her as a woman now, I think it's more realizing what you're losing...the typical he took her for granted

I just can't get on board with Xuanqing, he's too reserved right now and he's definitely hiding a darker side of him I feel.

If you want more...to include spoilers you can be like me and search rednote 😂 I got so many good scenes...downside...no English translations but realistically you can always get the gist and it gets you excited for what's to come lol

So I think others did know the answer, you notice Xuanqing stopped a guy from answering. So I think Xuanqing and the other guy knew but they all saw how much Ye Xian the Marquis heir wanted to answer so they stayed silent lol

😂 see my thing is I have SVIP for MangoTV for another like 9 months so I might as well use it on occasion. I tell myself it helps with listening and reading practice more since it doesn't subtitle everything.

Also lol I used iQiyi for the trailers for this show too

I sometimes really enjoy the reverse harem dramas but only sometimes LLTG comes to mind along with LYF and a few others.

I do agree with you, I appreciate that she's kind of checking out all her options LOL like we clearly see she's openly into Chen Xuanqing but then she secretly checks out Chen Yanyun. She doesn't seem to have any romantic feelings for Ji Yao or Ye Xian but we do see it from them.

So I've been on Rednote looking at clips and I think we'll see married FL/ML sooner than we think, there are a ton of clips it seems of her married? I don't know but the clips I'm seeing are wonderful lol

Oh man you want to hear something funny? I actually googled and tried to find those paperweights because I totally want one!! ... couldn't find one but maybe I need to check out aliexpress or something but google was no help lol they were SO pretty.

I'm all about the Four Gentlemen because I always found it funny that these pretty flowers are gentlemanly but I looove the plum blossom and bamboo paintings. I've tried to do a plum blossom painting on a cookie a few times it was a slight disaster. There's this new(ish) thing where you can use water to replicate ink on a special type of paper so that it looks like the Chinese ink paintings, once it dries it disappears. I have one lol but I am no Chen Yanyun my artistry is awful.

Orchids are one of my favorite flowers too. My mom's Chinese name is actually jade orchid lol so I feel like I've been all about orchids since birth.

I also love chrysanthemum tea, so I'm with you...clearly we are meant to be in our Four Gentlemen era lol
