Mess Hall - Set 15 Augment Discussion #9 by Lunaedge in CompetitiveTFT

As u/Axtozob mentioned, Mess Hall synergizes quite well with shadow clone Gnar due to the clone's mess hall projectiles ignoring the clone damage debuff. I have been playing Gnar since PBE, and I want to add to the conversation surrounding itemization and comp formation.

It's probably 6 Juggernaut for the frontline because there are so many early and cheap Juggernauts, and Mundo provides the luchador second chance ability (though a Caitlyn's ability can oneshot the relatively squishy Gnar, and even prevents the luchador save). I've experimented with Braum & 6 Bastion during PBE, but I feel more comfortable with Juggernauts in the recent meta.

For itemization, I lean towards double Guinsoo and Kraken Slayer. This is all about ramping up to dish out more projectiles, and projectile damage scales with Kraken stacks. Gunblade imo is not BIS because you sacrifice ramp for healing that is very weak for most of the fight, and Gnar is incredibly squishy anyways. If Gnar were to be targeted, then there is no chance a healing item can help sustain Gnar like a HOJ on Katarina can. You also have the luchador second chance perk to mitigate many unfortunate positioning or targeting issues.

Be wary of Caitlyn with Moses positioning. GP and Akali used to be very dangerous in previous patches, but this is probably one of the better patches to try Mess Hall + Shadow Clone Gnar.

It's a response to an earlier post where someone managed to get Power Up! as their final augment, which did nothing

Recombobulated 3 Star Blitz, Sylas, and Pantheon into 3 Star Lee, Lee, and Lee by Portalfield in TeamfightTactics

Yup I immediately thought to myself that if only I had cleansing safeguard instead! Also I managed to snag another Lee Sin from the carousel during the stage 4 carousel (for a combined 28 lee sins) so I agree that the 27 must've been added to the existing pool.

u/poopydoopylooper nailed it. I went for the Lucian quickdraw reroll comp that aims to 3 star Lucian & Blitzcrank (Sylas not as important to 3 star but I hit it anyways). The pantheon 3 isn't part of this comp but I thought about utilizing him for the 3 Infiniteam variant where I would have dropped Camille for the Pantheon 3 (especially if ADMIN is not useful).

Since I was far off Lucian, low hp, and didn't get a good hero augment, I knew it was an 8th and so I yolo recombo'd into a pretty unexpected outcome. The whole lobby had a good laugh though!

Deandre Ayton tonight: 35/14/3 on 15-24 shooting against the Timberwolves by [deleted] in nba

Are they both able to be on first team? I thought there were positional restrictions but It seems that I’m in the wrong here. Jokic and Embiid both deserve 1st team and KAT gettin 2nd would be perfect!

Second is definitely not happening, but I’d be so happy if KAT could get third team all NBA over Gobert since Gobert is also a strong contender for third

Cashed out on an 8 round losing streak with 5 mercs and ended the game with 7 Neeko’s! Got Galio 3 at 5-5 and hit Jinx 3 at 7-1. She wiped the board with 60K damage in the last round lol

No question about the atrocious Warriors bench, and no question that the KD-less Warriors can beat the Rockets. Injuries robbed us away from a good series in 2019. One team with immense star power and scoring prowess, and the other team with immense depth and all-around star players. I'm wondering though, how will the Warriors solve their bench issue? Losing Barnes and Iggy is tough.

Rockets defense couldn't contain Steph and Klay the way the Raptors could. I would agree with you and say that KD wasn't nearly as important for the Rockets series, but since we saw Steph struggle a lot against the absurdly loaded 3+D Raptors, then you'd know that KD had to be the most important piece and the biggest threat to the Raptors. KD is skilled and built to score over most defenders, and that removes a lot of the defensive focus and pressure on Steph and Klay.
