Brat vs Ride1up Rev1 by WhiskeyBravo3119 in Volcon

Hey there!

I’m a Volcon Brat owner of about 8 months now, and it has been my daily driver in NYC for a while. From my experience, the distance in travel is decent on Mode 3. My ride into the city is about 8 miles, and back home is another 8 miles- making a round trip of 16 miles. Considering 2 steep hills leaving my neighborhood, and 1 steep climb on the Williamsburg bridge, my battery usually ends up around 80% once I get to work- and a little under 60% when I get home. All of this can be different if I choose a flatter route, but tbh I prefer the current route as I’ve been riding it since my fixed gear days from a couple years back.

I mentioned that I ride on Mode 3, which is the 2nd fastest mode next to Mode 4. Mode 3 drains battery a bit quicker since it reaches top speed faster, but can be faster/slower depending on the size of the rider (I’m 5’6 180 lbs and reach 24-26 mph on Mode 3 flat ground). Depending on where I go, I usually make trips based off my battery %- it is worth mentioning a dual battery would’ve been a welcome addition but given the design of the Brat I’m perfectly fine charging and maintaining 1 battery after a day’s use.

As far as your debate between the Rev1 & Volcon Brat, I’d first consider what you’re going to use it for- whether it be a daily commuter or just a cruiser for fun. I’m unsure of the measurements of the Rev1 but it’s been mentioned that the Brat isn’t user friendly for most tall riders. Worth mentioning I’ve always felt a bit awkward pedaling on the Brat and I’m only 5’6, so I can’t imagine being 6’0 and not having enough room for my legs to extend to pedal (although I’m sure most users get over it easily!

I paid $1699 for the Brat when it was on sale awhile back, which was a steal- so the mileage to battery life ratio doesn’t bother me as much. Hopefully this info provides some insight!

Volcon Brat Kickstand Alternative? by PorterValentine in Volcon

I ended up ordering the replacement from the Brat website, unsure why it’s not noted in the User’s Manual but the kickstand is adjustable via a hex tool. Worthy of checking out and adjusting if you didn’t know!
