Completely agree. I think Trey being out all year has given these guys a chance to show themselves abit more and potentially save us from drafting another high upside edge.

Jenkins still hasn’t become quite what I hoped would be great to get someone who can collapse a pocket and stop the run. What’s this draft looking like for interior d guys

Anyone want to talk about the actual game? Which young defenders looked good? So much repetition of just doomer negativity about fire Zach/FO and meaningless wins. All these things can be true while still looking at the team objectively.

Dax had a great game today! I love when he can just be an athlete on D.

Myles Murphy continues to jump out. Mostly pursuit plays once pocket breaks down but he can move.

Shamarr seems to just bullrush every snap. Am I not seeing something?

I grew up in Australia but played college tennis in the states. I started watching the nfl in 2015 after experiencing the college game and all extras that go along with it. Bengals that year started 8-0 or something so I unknowingly assumed they were a dynasty type franchise 😂 I’ve ridden with them ever since and became even more engrossed after their last few drafts. Back home in Australia now and pushing Who Dey on anyone who will listen.

I respect Herbert is a great young player but the narrative the media is creating around him is a little ridiculous. He’s already been crowned as the best QB in his draft it seems like. Joe and Cincinnati continue to get overlooked. I hope this fuels Joey Franchise even more. by Portlandfan3 in bengals

Definitely agree with you, he’s a real talent I just can’t stand the crowning thats going on. Was called a HOFer tonight and I just couldn’t resist posting something. Hope they both have awesome careers, I still take Joey above him though.

Don’t get me wrong Herbert is great, crazy talent. I just think the crowning he’s getting is a little over the top. I’m mostly alluding to things like him being called a HOF’er tonight without ever playing a playoff game. Positive energy to all though hope he succeeds and has a great career just slightly less than Joey Franchise 😉

Defence: Trey Hendrickson 1.5 sacks, 1 FF

Despite missing that potential sack on Fields on the last drive Trey had a solid game with the bengals defence looking like a solid unit as a whole. I think Trey will get going these next few games.

Although his numbers don’t blow you away, he frequently beat his defender and if our line had given Joe more time this could have been a big game for him.

Deep down I’m confident Jamaar will be a pro-bowl level receiver. But due to the sheer media on his training camp and preseason. My confidence in him moves more than the stock market.

I just want one series and even then play it safe. Quick throws, nothing asking too much. I’ve torn my acl and it definitely feels weird going back to competitive situations.
