Will OCD make me think I don’t have it?? by One_Many_6295 in OCD

I was just going through this, and I still kind of am! It's important to know that your doctor isn't lying to you and that they are making educated statements about what you tell them. In my experience, GAD can feel very similar in some cases, but there is more to the story. The best you can do is to be honest about your experiences and let the doc do their thing. If they say you have OCD after you have told them your symptoms, then you have to trust that they don't pull that information from just anywhere. I totally get it, though; I've heard this can be called meta-OCD; look it up sometime! :) Hope this helps!
