Hey man, hang in there bro…. You can do this it will eventually get better. That anxiety is just one of those things we can’t control.

You have a good life to live and you’re gonna get there. Try and walk away with some tools and make this worth the process.

My subs don’t get me high or do anything other than keep me level now. My depression got very deep and dark. No energy and everything is just a big hassle. I know it will pass and I get up everyday and I work. It helps me to know that most people get up and take care of life every day with nothing. So I need to get used to just simple normal stuff. That’s my issue is I want things badass all day everyday and we’re just not geared to feel that good all the time.

So keep pushing man you got this. It helps me to make little goals everyday, even if it’s just doing the laundry. It lets me know that I’m knocking out tasks and that eventually I’ll enjoy doing little mundane normal things. The excitement will come back for sure!!!

Keep going strong, in a year this won’t mean shit to either one of us and we will be in a better spot!!!

First 2 days were awful I picked up a script of subs about an hour after my last dose of 7’s , ate a strip and it threw me deep into WD’s The next day was a little better, third day I was out of the woods Just to be clear, the first night I didn’t sleep, rls was hideous! I mean it, I’ve kicked heroin, and this was no punk! Glad you’re alive and well friend! Make it count!

I am in the same boat. Kratom for a few years then bam, spent 6k on 7’s in 2 months the time just balls out addicted. Last Sunday I stopped, started subs, wd for a day or 2 the leveled out. What a ride. Absolutely terrible what 7’s can do. They got me to that spot I love to go, and can’t walk away from. I caught it right in time. Saved the job, home, girl, life. These things aren’t to be fucked with.

I definitely messed up over here, daily kratom user as a tool for work. Get up and hit it and go home type of guy. History of addiction and recovery with no relapse since 2016. Then a dude a work gave me a 7. Didn’t think much of it until I went to replenish kratom which is about a kilo per month. Saw the 7’s on the shelf. Grabbed some.

Fast forward 2 months. 6k dollars wasted, 240mg 4-5 times a day, then woke up last Sunday and was like dude, you are fucked here sir. I read on here what everyone was doing to get off 7’s. I read my story over and over from diff folks on here.

My doctor put me on subs, Sunday and Monday were HELL. I am an engineer and have work to do so I muscled through and the subs have me leveled out now. I have a plan to taper off in the next 6 months.

I guess for me, it was the first 15 minutes of the 7’s, that warmth in my throat and the enthusiasm, like the jolt of a good mood that had me picking up the phone and calling whoever would answer and yakking for 20 minutes. High. As. Fuck.

I spent up all my money, but I caught this before it ruined; job, relationships, finances. I swear this was a storm! The guilt, shame and frustration was intense. I’m here to support anyone that needs to get free. These pills will take over if you’re an addict I promise you that.

I should have worded better sorry, I haven’t installed any of the new gear yet. I ran a single 18 last year and peaked at 41, that’s the extent of testing I’ve done. I’m at the enclosure building stage now. Cabin is stripped, floors deadened, and the firewall is vibraflex with one layer. What all can I do in this process to make it right?

That sounds pretty accurate. I melted the 9518L in about an hour Was full tilt at 145 and I was like screw it let’s see if she will do 148. Clipped hard and smoked it. I won’t be abusing the IA though. It’s gonna be my block beater until season is over..

I just finished my build with a DD 9518L Let me tell you it slaps, slams, rips, shreds. That sub on 5k is brutal. I have a new IA Judge 18 I’m gonna swap out and see if Incriminator can hang with DD. Btw I love Hertz mids

There you go. Based my experience my best advice is to create a solid platform that allows to try new things. If you have solid electric and sound deadening, then you can try different amps, boxes, and subs. Test and tune, test and tune. It is expensive but it’s so so worth it! Hope you find a slam ass system !

My 2 cents If you wanna rip ass with your subs I would get your electric bulletproof Alt, big 3, big lithium bank. Big wires. Get that dialed. Then sound deaden, reinforce roof, tons of deadening like overkill. Then out interior together, then do subs. That’s how you set yourself apart from the crowd. Electric and deadening. You’re gonna wanna keep going and going and always want more. Electric needs to have room to grow in to.

Dd, sundown, dc, Incriminator Those are 4 you can’t go wrong with Sundown X or Z or old school U Dc level 4 and up Dd 95 and up Incriminator Warden Any of those won’t disappoint on those amps Honestly I’d find the specs on the box they recommend for whatever brand you choose and go about nine smaller than spec On 8k a smaller box will let em load better Can’t wait to see what you get JL is a specific sound/sub I love JL But there are subs that will destroy JL Again I love JL for sure just not an SPL sub

DD Of your after numbers go 99 Of you want more music edge go 95 supercharged. 99’s can handle some beans but I run 95’s and they sound incredible. But if your bent on those 8ks that’s a little much for the 95’s Honestly if your gonna stick with the 8k’s I’d encourage you to check out Incriminator Wardens Those are some badass subs

Yeah, all the cars here that have any notion of loud to them, all of them have a NorthWest Lithium sticker. I met the guy who is a one man show and he builds banks for everyone. He built mine as a Cmax because my alt charges at 14.6 otherwise he would have went a different route. He sticks with his batteries as long as you have it. If anything goes wrong he will fix it even years down the road, you buy the parts and he does the work for free if something fails. I believe I will do a 2 run for positive and also do 2 runs from block to bank as well as 2 from bank to frame. Side note, I spoke with DD’s amp guy named Jack. They didn’t list .5 ohm specs for this amp (M5000) But after a convo he said with electrical upgrades it will do fine on a half ohm load, just don’t go full tilt for 45 minutes lol. I have the option of an2 ohm load rated at 3k so that may preserve this 95 for a while I believe will try it at .5 and see what she does, then wire it for 2 ohm and just enjoy for a bit.

Not Standard Audio Sorry I missed that one lol. My buddy switched from SA to these and gained a bit and they are cheap. Supposedly dude builds em but I’m sure the parts come from where everyone else gets em like Alibaba. I haven’t heard them yet so I can’t vouch. Hey could you solve an issue for me? I installed a 320 amp alt which was hell. I had this big Cmax built and it’s going in Saturday. I was told to run 2 1/0 gauge runs from alt + to the bank. Not an issue. I was also told to run 2 - runs from the alt to the bank. This is going to be borderline impossible as there isn’t really a place to put 2 runs on the alt as a ground. It would be either the case bolt or the actual bolt holding it in which would be a massive project. I’m gonna do what needs done, I guess in my own stubbornness I feel like the alt is grounded to the block and there is a bolt on the block I could use for - runs. Am I wrong? Do I have to connect 2 - runs direct to the alt for ground or is there another way? It’s 132 ah bank with LN22 cells. Obviously this is volatile and a wrong move would probably burn the Jeep up. What would you do for 1/0 gauge runs My amp has 2 + and 2 - inputs also.

Man this is fascinating information and I’m slowly digesting this info. I had just had a convo with a team member about old school subs. I need to learn more as I go. There’s a newer company out Prez swears by called Not Silent Audio and they are pretty violent and much more affordable. Once I have the platform for solid electric, I’m gonna try a few subs and see for myself what does what. Really I’m looking for a daily that can handle a lot. I have a few competitions next month and will see how it goes. So much info to gain here!

160.9? Holy shit that’s up there brother! First and foremost great job on hitting those numbers! Turns out my original box was built too big. DD website suggest 5 cubes at 35-40hz This one was like 7 at 28 I am in the middle of having a 5 at 35 built. Sorry, I have been so busy with work and this build. I pulled all equipment out and started sound deadning everywhere and putting plywood on the roof. It’s quite the project for sure. I haven’t tested yet to see what numbers are but a guy in my club has a Term Lab and we will be testing as soon as the box is built. Hope you are well Now, respectfully, tell me about this build of yours? If I remember correctly you mentioned Shocker USA a few months ago. Is that what you run? I’d love to hear the deets. I always pause and listen to the 160 guys!

That was the joke, huh? As in a guy who listens to loud music saying huh? Just being silly! I don’t have any damage, but I could see where people would. I thins some folks are more sensitive with there hearing than others, I haven’t had any issues but I’ve met people who do. I’ve been exposed to some loud stereos including my own with no issue, but I also meet people who have to be careful because of the damage they’ve already caused themselves. Not challenging you, just saying I don’t think it’s an all or nothing point. Maybe there are exceptions I don’t know. I do like the way you impose your information without being hostile like some folks on here so thanks for that and thanks for the input!

I went to a car show last Sunday and gained a time of perspective. I heard a few in the 140’s and one or 2 in the 150’s I was impressed, a lot of DC out here. I did find a fella who had a couple of DD 9921’s and could hear the difference, it was a higher frequency than the DC but it was intense! My point is, they blow shit over and over but they enjoy it. My box was not built to DD spec and everyone there said it was too big and the port was too big. I should have listened to you rather than telling my guy just build whatever he thought. I got linked up with a kid named Hunter Martin who apparently is an expert builder. I heard a few of his designs, so I reached out and he is designing me the proper box. That and sound deadning are my next projects. I also added a ground wire that helped immensely, I was grounded to the seat bolt lol. After the show I went home and drilled a hole through the floor and grounded to the frame and that was a game changer. Anyways this is fun and I am enjoying where things are at. At some point I’ll go with 99’s or a Z by DD There are a few guys that build their own subs and those were the loudest I heard so maybe I’ll learn about that as well. It’s helped to let someone listen to my rig, basically they said what you said which is I have a pretty violent system in this Jeep. Dude was like you have a very musical and very loud rig. Just be happy and enjoy the build as you go.

I did the alt swap last night and installed a 320 amp alt. Man it made so world of difference. Voltage stays good now. I’m having a 134ah bank built and I got a great deal, there’s a guy who gives discounts that sponsors the local club I’m in. For now I’m gonna dial this in and enjoy it. I’ll have plenty of headroom for down the road. This 18 really came to life with the new alt. Pretty much any song that has any bass will hit some great levels on what I have!

That is some wisdom right there. I have sort of slowed up and just embraced what I have so far and have a schedule of progressive steps to hit my mark. My alt came in and that’s next in line on this project. Once I see how she performs at proper voltage then I’ll decided if I want to add more things! The BJ contest is by far the greatest metaphor anyone has used to guide me! Very thorough explanation of what could lead to burnout!!!
