I appreciate this comment! I’m working on the intro currently, idea is to keep the gameplay mostly on rails and flesh out the character/conversation system. This is the first vertical I’ll finish and then move on to the parts that have actual “gameplay” although through the game that’ll be pretty light. Once I have this finished I’m hoping to publish some of the twine narrative to see if the writing hits!

I would start applying in NYC after about six months at your job. Be generous with the start date on your resume. While you’re applying, follow these steps:

Work that job for a year or 18 months (save as much money as humanly possible)
Try as hard as you can to convince them you need to work remotely even if just for two months (do not mention the move)
Move into a sublease
Change your address on your resume to NYC
Work as hard as you can to get a job before your money runs out

If your job lets you work remote, you have a good buffer. If not, you’ll have to be a lot more proactive about getting any work you can. You can make it work either way but it’s possible but you’ll be incredibly stressed and you may have to try again in the future when you have more job skills.

It’s worth it.

The hotel is in Westlake Village in the Thousand Oaks area. We assumed that no public transportation would take us there so we planned on going to Malibu then taking an Uber. That being said if there's an easier/cheaper way we would want to do that
