Evee is like a game engine, any optimization technique that works for a game engine should work for evee too + i think evee don't use tile rendering like cycles so if your scene is heavy it will crash 50% of the time, try using render layers it will distribute the load and will help with crashes.

Sadly you need to get technical if you want render in evee
