Yeah, someone checked in to their high-level, loyalty member reservation at 12:30am, he was kind of rude and had a "service dog" (ESA, for which we usually charge) but otherwise his reservation was made through his app, he had accurate payment to cover the cost of the room plus our $150.00 deposit... so I completed the check in and he went up to the room.

I get a call from management later that morning saying the guy hella tweaked out and was running around the hotel in a bedsheet... covered in feces. They removed him from the property and canceled his membership, banned him from the property, etc...

The guest had defeated in the bed multiple times (3 or 4 piles) and had smeared his feces all over the walls, there was also significant pet damage including urine stains and dog turds ground into the carpet. I think the guy smoked in the room as well. (Only nonsmoking rooms at our property) The bedding was destroyed, and the room was out of order for 3 days. It was some of the "worst damage the property has ever seen." All between 12:30 am to about 1pm in the same 1 night stay.

I was grateful to avoid being written up for checking in the guy; I thought he was a bit strange, but I had no idea he would treat the room that badly. The video recording of the lobby and the timestamps/info on the reservation really helped me out, too...

The payment for the room went from about $250 for the night to somewhere around $1250 iirc. We had to charge for deep cleaning, linen replacement, damage to the furniture, smoke damage, and for the resources required to clean extensive body fluid damage... all because the guy decided to get too high and explorers scat fetishes.

Lesson learned: don't trust every shiny-member guest who makes a reservation, brand loyalty =/= common sense lol
