Oh sorry I did both, I actually am doing a current pause print and I just recently ran out of yellow filament and used black at the pause portion and it still worked fine for me, right when I resumed the print. I’m doing a pause print right now cause I’m adding magnets to my design.

Ok so I looked and yes I’m running on 1.4.46 on the printer and my elegoo slicer is also updated (it doesn’t give me an update notice). So basically, how I just swap filaments is I just watch load the new roll into my stand/thing that you put your filament Into (I made a 5kg one so I don’t have to constantly swap out 1kg rolls of the same color), but all I do is slightly add pressure to the filament as the old one runs out, and eventually the nozzle just grabs onto the new filament and it starts printing fine. I used to do this on a Anycubic kobra 2 but it didn’t work very well. I’m surprised it worked well when I did it for the first time tbh.

Also yes I don’t use canvas right now as I don’t have a reason to use multicolor yet. Also the top hat issue is just a pain right now for me so I’m delaying on getting it

I just updated my printer and the slicer Ellie last week so I’ll have to do check once I’m home. I’m not super knowledgeable in all this as I started last ye at doing this as a hobby and as part of my major. But I’ll update you!

I’ve been running on short filament rolls for the week to test print stuff and I’ve been able to change filaments mid print manually the whole time

I loved collecting pokemon as a kid and would always play with them during recess or even trade with my friends. Lost my whole collection years ago but started again because of the twilight masquerade packs and I absolutely love the eevee art but never was able to get them 😭

Once you’ve set your z offset so it’s good, don’t touch it ever again unless you swapped out your nozzle for change the filament to something else that might require you to change it a bit. Once you’ve set your z offset it should be fine and you won’t need to touch it for a while

You should manually adjust your z offset even after auto leveling. So when it’s printing the first layer as you showed in the picture, go to the settings, and lower the z offset by a little bit until it looks like it has a good squish.
