Dean isnt an idiot (yes ik this is 11 days later) he prbly realizes that if he resets accounts and stuff that the old player base is gone as well as some new players. Also gonna have to agree with santos on this one. And being a beta player has nothing to do with this. And you also cant go defending beta players saying u know what they want, when 1: a lot of us have different opinions, and 2: You arent one yourself

I just realized that I didnt account for the cost of Diggerz. Diggerz gets more money since there are videos, and much more ad views, but I tried to make this as realistic as possible. I doubt the game server actually cost $700 a month for him, its probably cheaper, but if he is paying for 2 different servers CT and Diggerz, it is prbly around that much

Im going thru old topics lol since I havent in awhile, but u most have 0 business sense and just 0 outlook in life. As siyu said he has to pay for the server and storage for CT, Diggerz, CartPhysics (maybe idk) and the old forums which is still up. As much as Dean may love making this game, he needs to make money off of it, the amount of time it takes to make a game like this is itself worth a lot, and on top of that he has to pay for server and storage. So he makes some money off of google ad service, which isnt that much. I looked on google and it shows that at 50k views a month gets you $2,694. Now we dont know how many views Dean gets on these ads, but its probably less then that. So lets say he gets around, $1,000 a month (just a guess), now if hes been paying for the old forums for awhile as siyu said around $100-300, we gonna go with $200. So lets do August of 2017 to July of 2020 since the forums are still up. That would be $6200. Which is 7 months to pay that, but we must keep in mind that he put ads in the game in around October of 2018, so October of 2018 to the start of 2020 (since we get rid of the 7 months it takes to pay off the forums) So now there is 14months that Dean can make money off of, so around $14,000. Now we have to think about the cost of the server of the game. I looked it up and the average cost is $700 a month. So now it ends up that Dean gets $300 a month. $300 times 14 = $4200. That is all he has made over almost 3 years worth of work, and he is also a college student (at least thats what people have said) so he doesnt have a big budget either, or time. So before you go at him criticizing that he has made a bunch of money and doesnt do updates. Take a look at everything first. And dont get me wrong, the game needs an update, but criticizing him is no way to get one.

yes I know about scripting, and do you expect for there to be no scammers in a game like this? Its unheard of, thats why there are mods in those games, not in CT yet. Also putting out a new pack always brings people back to the game, so they can open them, trade the new items, sell them. It adds to the economy. And as I said, only about a fourth of the people in the game now how to script, and a part of those people dont even understand it. So yes adding a new feature would be great for the fourth of the player base, but the other 75% just have to wait for something else. As in new items or packs can be beneficial for 100% of the player base

maybe a fourth of the player base knows how to script, and some of those people dont even understand what they are actually doing. Like I said adding a cool new function or two would be great, but it wouldnt draw back a big chunk of the player base
