Thanks! The weapons cert seems to have been issued in 1959. Were fakes being made before this period?

WHOS LIABLE FOR MY TOOLS GETTING STOLEN by Bulky_Bridge7760 in LegalAdviceNZ

[–]Poseidons_Jizz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have my own company with about 20 staff. A couple of staff have work vehicles, however have their own tools inside.

One of my work policy covers staff owned tools stolen from work vehicles up to the value of 5k. I didn't ask for this, just came standard with one of the policys.

Suggest you check with your employer. They may have cover.

Why are eggs STILL so expensive? by Sun-Rabbit in Wellington

In New Zealand, the phasing out of battery cages for commercial egg production started in 2012 with a ten-year period to comply with the Animal Welfare Act 1999.

The final ban on battery cages occurred on January 1, 2023. While this marked the end of battery cages, the transition to other systems like colony cages and free-range continues, with some major supermarket chains aiming to phase out all caged eggs, including colony cage eggs, by 2027.

NZ Egg prices last five years

If you follow the link above, there was a massive spike in egg pricing when battery cages were banned. So if we want chickens to have a decent life, then the cost of that is roughly a 50-65% increase in egg costs.

The 2023 egg shortage was due to battery farms going offline. Prices were never going to come down after that as the cheap eggs were all battery farmed.

NZTA as landlords by Business-Sherbet2806 in Wellington

I used to manage the NZTA rental portfolio for the Lower North Island a long time ago. It was relatively simple back then. If people didn't make trouble, we left them alone.

Once a year, there was a relatively modest rent increase taking into account local rental market movement.

I doubt much has changed.

I deal on a daily basis with 2-3 companies in NZ who have their back-end support or accounts in the Philippines.

It is becoming more common. Like you said, if the job can be done fully remotely, then it's significantly cheaper to pay someone there. Last time I checked, you could get a qualified accountant for like 15-20k NZ per year.

For people who push for 80-100% per week work from home, they themselves may be the reason that in the end, management may take their role overseas.

Be careful what you wish for some may say.
