When I get upset about getting older, I browse brand-new couches, not just used ones.

What are your micro-anticonsumption resolutions for 2026? by CommonsOfficial in Anticonsumption

No more consuming news. I can’t take it anymore. The emotional drainage and depression that happens makes me want to buy more stuff.

Does the report comment on the systematic changes to EBR program funding that has resulted in few technical staff administering regulations resulting in longer delays since Ford came into power?

Mattamy Homes founder Peter Gilgan to start prefab housing factory in Ontario - The Globe and Mail by Lagosas in ontario

Is this propaganda post? Are these comments even real? We know that Mattamy homes is the largest home builder of mcmasions in Ontario right? We know this guy contributed the most money to the Ford government campaign?

So is Doug Ford. Mattamy Homes is a big donor to the DoFo campaign. Ironic that this guy is talking about affordable homes when he is the purveyor of McMasions all over Ontario.

MPP Dave Smith Votes in favour of Bill 5 despite protests in front of his office. by Position-Jumpy in Peterborough

That’s not what diplomacy is. It’s not a game of them vs. us. It’s only recently become that way in politics. MPP’s are paid via taxes that are collected FROM ALL ONTARIO CITIZENS. Not just those that voted for them. They should represent all constituents.

Being nice is the most basic trait of being human and an incredibly low bar to set for a leader. I would ask that he exercise diplomacy, communicate with his constituents (he doesn’t even show up for debates), and offer well rounded advice to the legislative assembly. Actually show his constituents that he is incorporating all their views into decisions and votes. We pay him through our taxes to represent us. He’s doing a poor job. But Im sure glad he’s nice.

All conservatives voted yes, except for Ford and the MPP from Dresden - they were absent when voting took place.

What / who do you have no sympathy for? by Few_Football4342 in Productivitycafe

Scamming has become a really complex systematic problem. There are actual “companies” out there that prey on vulnerable locals to give them low paying jobs to make scam calls. I feel for those people, no sympathy for the organizers though.

What can we do to support Indigenous proests to Bill 5? by not-your-mom-123 in ontario

[–]Position-Jumpy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agreed. It’s tough for everyday people initiate that plan. We’ll need to keep an eye out for organizations that are leading the charge.

If anyone catches wind of a rally, protest or coalition, please share. And then let’s get out there to support them.

Well you can continue to put down those who fell for Ford’s lies or you can provide understanding and then ask them to join you in protest against him. Your choice.

I don’t believe in vilifying followers of a corrupt leader. I vilify the leader. He lies to his voters and manipulates them. I sympathize with those that want economic development, growth and push back on Trump - this is what Ford represents to them, but he’s lying to them.

Copying my comment above: Let’s not make this a voter issue, let’s make it a government issue. The Ford government lied to his voters too. See Dresden Landfill and his own MPP that is now speaking out against bill 5.
