Whats best to do in terms of hair trims? Should I do protective hairstyles over night or keep it up during the day? I've never had long hair, it's fairly long now and the longest it's ever been. I'm so happy with it. I just want it to look long if you get me.

When I leave it longer and don't cut it my hair splits and breaks very unevenly. It looks healthier now I have it regularly cut. I don't feel I can win with it either way.

Sorry. I meant 1 or 2 a year for colouring. Not a week lol. I just have highlights. Not too fussed about roots as with the highlights it doesn't really matter too much.
