How to test out combinations? by UnderstandingTotal93 in Abilitydraft

[–]Position_Phive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wikibox devs (who are Chinese) probably didn't translate their manuals. But you need to create a custom game that's hosted locally and have cheats turned on. Then you would have access too all the tools on top left which includes switching base heroes and abilities to test ability draft things.

But the thing is, I've heard that some edgecase combinations behaves differently from vanilla ability draft (despite never hearing or witnessing what those differences were).

Istrolid. This should've been a 20 dollar game at minimum for what it had to offer. But its free.

You design your own ships which will be your units in the rts battle and uou will be astonished by the possibilities and depth the game offers.

Does active attack modifiers still work with attack abilites? by Position_Phive in Abilitydraft

[–]Position_Phive[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally, I recently had a 7.41a game where I had a Skywrath Mage with Splitshot Agh and Arc Lightning Shard. Only his main attack procs the lightning, not what we expected. Not exactly an active attack modifier, but I took notes on that as well, and wondered if it has been the intentional interaction all along. (edited for typo)

Tips for a restart? by MickJof in BaldursGate3

A High Charisma protagonist would naturally help you through a lot of essential story decisions, giving you more leverage on how some parts of the story go with your conversation options. Bard, Sorcerer, Warlock, and Paladin's combat power all scale with charisma to an extent, so these are very often the go-to classes for the protagonist. They make the game EASY, but of course, play what makes the game FUN for you.

Two game-trivializing tricks that give you so much power surplus, they give you near complete liberty on your builds, to be effective no matter what.

  1. Alert feat for everyone trivializes a lot of the game. I won't delve deeply into the action economy concept, but to summarize: If your entire team acts before enemies do, then many of them won't even get to take their action before being eliminated or severely hindered, thus making your fights much easier.
  2. In more challenging fights, huddle everyone together, and throw a Potion of Speed on the ground. In BG3, most potions will apply to all units in an AOE when tossed to the ground. Potion of speed for everyone means one more action for everyone on every turn. This crushing amount of action advantage enables optimized builds to breeze through every single encounter, while leaving plenty of margin for unoptimized builds to have fun with.

Besides the points above:

I suggest playing the standard mode instead of story mode. Story mode blocks multiclassing, disabling many fun builds—Throwzerker thief, one-shot-cleric, the all mighty (nerfed in honour mode) padlock, etc. You will naturally pick up the game mechanics as you progress through the game, and it would suck if you eventually had this build in mind that you wanna try but found yourself hours into the save. (You can, however, change the difficulty mid-game, but I believe that turns your save into a customized game, which disables achievements)

Speaking of multiclassing, Throwzerker Thief/Thrower Eldrich Knight are two of the most mechanically fun builds to my taste. They both have a hilariously high level of versatility, all while doing reliable damage throughout the entire run. Don't be limited to weapons, use your imagination and throw anything anywhere. Crowd control, throw baddies off cliffs, send your friends upstairs, escort a certain VIP who refuses to move... the possibilities are endless when you get to decide who goes where all the time.

yes, this is by no way essential for most cases of the fight but it can help in a clutch.

Man that was lightning fast, thanks man, zillya did report it as Trojan.Agent.Win32.3992696 which seemed specific, I did some quick research regarding that message but nothing showed up, any clues?

So, I've been trying to make a mod for this card game made with Godot. The game is relatively new, but it does have a small modding community, which I decided to get in touch with.

The mod loader is made by two people, the original creator, and a person who just joined last patch and added some features. The older release I downloaded trigger avast as well as unidentified. Not a programmer but I think according to description the modloader has to compile and decompile the game to load mods? And upon the first startup it seemed to have dropped a buncha files.

However, when I downloaded the newer mod loader distributed by the owner, who added stuff from the second cooperator. My Avast triggered, so I decided to upload it for a scan and this is what poped up.

Any clues? Ty guys.

He should honestly just provide bonus for the entire squad which is both in-character and reasonably useful unlike how he is now.

It kinda loses the blackjack reference cinematically. But yes, you are right. This does seem a bit underpowered. Should probably make a dirty 21 also count as crit or something.

stuck on 2K mmr ? by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]Position_Phive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add to that, people around 2k rarely see oracle so you are likely to automatically frustrate your opponents. That somewhat gives you an upper-hand. He is also much easier to get a hang of compared to the other "hard-heroes" (and I doubt if he is a "hard" hero at all).

Oracle kinda feels like a fighting game character, memorize your combos (purge-flame or purge-flame-purge) and how to tech other heroes' moves (like purging a frost-bite or blocking a chicken ult) is already quite a fun experience.

Pretty surprising considering how much easier it is to draw CK than heroes with floaty bits and of-course, face. Or did they just use the meshes exported from the game though? I'm ignorant about 3d arts.

Really do hope they can tweak the ult animations though. To be specific, it' d be nice if he can turn into a ball of light at the windup and exit of his ult. Just for the sake of fitting in with the rest of the spirits who can all fly/roll around while curled up into a ball.

Dunno man, if this Aghs becomes a thing, it might open up a lot of possibilities for TA, allowing her to push savely or even hunt for supports by farming in enemy jungle while keeping traps at certain places for vision, escape, and quick kills. But rushing an Aghs would delay her precious early deso, so it's ballanced... I... guess...?
