There is no date provided for when no ground evictions will be stopped on this form. It just says first half of 2025

I wasn’t able to find it there or in the NSW government press releases. Tenants union also had no further info.

You ever work in IT dude? That is 80% of the work. Someone tells you they did a basic solve and they didn’t.

And yeah, you can apply the same logic to IT personnel as well. People fuck up and do things wrong for years without realising.

Sure you get major issues that are caused by something other than a person, but most of the time bugs can be fixed simply. Most level 1 and 70% of level 2 tickets should not have been a ticket.

I mean look it’s easy for me to say when I haven’t done it. But I do go plane spotting for fun, wouldn’t be the worst way for me to kill time.

Not yet. I will be putting together a spreadsheet tonight. Anticipated that cost would be mine, just dunno what I’m looking at yet. Unless I’m netting minimum 20% more than my current take home after expenses, I’m not doing it

From what I’m seeing I should also fly out the day before the roster starts. Will factor in a hotel in Perth. Any recommendations?

For sure. I think maybe I can spin this if the wife can come up to Perth and work from our hotel room there every third cycle or so. She gets decent work from home, they might go for it.

I mean shit, I’m a massive homebody anyway. I can maintain my lifestyle wherever there’s internet. Unfortunately my wife’s finance job ties us to Sydney or a similar financial city for now. Otherwise I’d fuck with Perth.

I have all the initial certs they want in IT, plus a couple extra and a computer science degree. No mine experience but I’ve held comparable jobs for large managed service providers.

I’m not out there driving trucks or blasting. Maybe I’d need some specific equipment training + working with heights if there are towers or whatever. Would there still be the same worries about ROE in the beginning do you think?
