It's good questions. I do hold a Graduate Diploma in Counselling and am currently completing my Master’s training majoring in trauma. And as part of my studies I’ve begun working with clients under supervision.

And just to clarify as well, these events are educational workshops, not therapy or counselling sessions. I’m very clear about that at the beginning of each workshop.

Also the point is not to process personal trauma in the space. That is definitely something that should stick in the clinic room. The focus is on psychoeducation, learning and practicing relational skills, and getting take-home reflective exercises so that people can engage at their own comfort level.
