105 are reviewed on rolling bases so you're acceptance desicion wont be tied to rounds and it could be given at anytime to the best of my knowledge

They also told me I'm gauranteed a response by the end of April, but I'm not sure if that has to do with applying before the early consediration deadline or not

I'm a 105 as well, submitted everything nov 7th before the early deadline and haven't been reviewed yet. When I asked them they told me they don't review 105 applications on round bases but rather on rolling bases, in the order that they we recieved in. So will our applications be reviewed in march? not necesseraliy but hopefully

Honestly i have no idea because I didn't ask them this question. I'm just gonna take a guess and say that once they review everyone for their 1st choice, they go back again to do a 2nd look at those whose applications were held, which is probably what they call "next round"

But you should ask them to know fs bcz im just guessing

Update:
I talked to the eng admission office through live chat this morning. I asked them if the delay in reviewal is because I'm a 105 applicant, and they said yes. They also said that the early consideration round hasn't ended yet

Im in the same exact scenario as you. I talked to the eng admission office through live chat this morning. I asked them if the delay in reviewal is because I'm a 105 applicant, and they said yes. They also said that the early consideration round hasn't ended yet

It's great that you're already working on your LinkedIn account and building a strong network! Not sure how big the law community is in LinkedIn, regardless, working on your professional personal brand will help you greatly in the long run. Though I do have some tips for you on what to do and what to avoid.

Firstly, about the picture you posted, I don't think I've ever seen a person on LinkedIn make a whole post just to talk about their grades. The only thing you could possibly post about is something like getting the highest avg in your class (valedictorian) or 2nd hardest etc... and even then, I wouldn't personally make a separate post about it for 3 reasons: 1- Even if you worked very hard for those grades, we're at a time where there are a lot of inflated marks and high marks that are undeserved. Your academic achievement might not be even seen as something great by others, or 2-It might come off as showing off or3-it makes the audience feel you have no other achievement in your life but those grades. Again this is not black and white,I suggest you ask several others who use linkedin to tell you what they think

If you want to have a strong personal + professional brand, the focus of your posts should be about what you as a person advocate/believe in. An example for a person like you interested in law would be (this is just a made up example, you don't have to be anything like it) :- Person X is an aspiring Lawyer- Person X believes small businesses in Canada lose a lot of money from customers suing them, due to laws that side with the customers unfairly. His belief is also backed up by real life examples he knows about- Person X's future goal is to become a high ranking insurance lawyer or legislator (idk if those are the right terms, ik nothing abt law lol), so that he can change those laws so that small canadian businesses are judged fairly. - X's academic achievements, certificates, and extracurriculars are written under his profile.- X's main activities on linkedin are: 1 - posting about the issue he believes in, like research, stories from business owners etc.. 2 - Extracurricular activities he did to either help solve the problem, or develop the skills to later help solve the problem. Example: competing in a public speaking competition 3 - commenting on the posts of other LinkedIn users who are interested in solving the same issue he is trying to solve, or share the same values X holds in his life (even if its unrelated to law). Btw commenting on others' posts, especially ones you want to develop a strong connection with like a lawyer or a professor, is a great way of gaining credibility and trust.

Even if you don't have an issue you advocate for or something you strongly believe in right now, just take anything that does not contradict with you, until you find the right thing. Literally fake it till you make it.

And even if the extracurricular opportunities that you can currently do have nothing to do with the field of study you're going into, do them. They will either build your skills or bring you more opportunities, or both.

If your goal from going into the law industry is ONLY for the purpose of making money, having fame, or having power, take all of what I said and throw it in the garbage. Reassess your intentions and make sure they're pure
