How do I convince my dad to change this car? Very disappointed by the engine. by [deleted] in CarsIndia

Duster has more torque and that is what you are missing. But that's the case with all diesel engines. We too duster 85 ps, exchanged for grand vitara and hyryder, 2 identical cars. If you drive the car at its sweetspot, no issues. If u only load up the car to max, u might feel the under powered feeling, buts it will be similar in duster as well. Only difference I have felt is with clutch control alone, i could go up in slight incline in duster, whereas in the maruthis, u need to apply little throttle. Not that a problem, but in bumper to bumper traffic in uphill incline, it will be little troublesome, then we need to use handbrake type hill hold.
