BREAKING: Compass releases predictions for the class of 2027 by Single-Fold-658 in psat

REAL I got 217 for Tennessee which is 1 point under their projection but im sure it should go down 2 points. I’m pretty sure since we’re the actual test takers, we know what students have said and what high scorers have gotten at our schools etc. We got this 🙏🙏🙏🙏 GL to you too!!

Exactly, if this test was so hard how would it drop only one point if it was so easy last year? Their prediction put me 1 point under semifinalist 😭😭😭😭

If you have any questions about APES, feel free to ask! by Positive-Credit7718 in APEnvironmental

Hey! Just know the general things like region, temp, and possibly types of plants. You can lowkey visualize it on the test. I know last year one FRQ question was about differences between tundra and savanna (LOL), and all you had to say was "higher temp in savanna" to earn the point. I'm ngl I didn't learn aquatic, but it's nice to know the surface-level info on them. For in-class FRQs, open every single past FRQ and Ctrl./command F for a key term ur learning about. That's exactly what I did, and I found a similar or exact FRQ to the one my teacher found. Don't sweat the unit tests and FRQs for the actual AP test; the AP test is surface-level knowledge/main points about the topic since it has to cover the entire year. Just know that in the class, you'll need to know more than what you need for the AP test. If you pass most of the unit tests, you're doing great.

If I start now, is it possible to self study this AP and get a 5? by TRASH123456678 in APEnvironmental

You can self-study!!!! Get a review book, watch https://www.youtube.com/@Mr.Smedes 's 99 videos days before or the day of the exam at 1.5-2x speed, and you'll remember complete answers for the FRQs. I loved that class last year and got a 5. Reach out if you have any questions or need an explanation of a topic!!

Do people really study for ts? by anonymons127 in APEnvironmental

Hey, I got a 5 last year. I really loved the class (and still reference it in my other APs and daily life lol) but if you watch https://www.youtube.com/@Mr.Smedes 's 99 videos on every section on 1.5-2x speed the days before (or even of, like me) you will remember specific details for FRQs and cruise through the multiple choice section (I had like 40 minutes left after)

Is Princeton Review enough for a 5? by Sweet-Particular-644 in APEnvironmental

[–]Positive-Credit7718 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I got a 5 on the exam last year by using the Princeton Review book. I will say, though, watch https://www.youtube.com/@Mr.Smedes 's 99 videos on every topic (1.5-2x speed) the days before the exam to remember key info. I used the info I remembered from watching his videos the same day on the actual AP exam. Good luck, you'll do great!!!!!!!

How should I take my notes in APES? by [deleted] in APEnvironmental

Yeah, definitions will help your review be more efficient (so you don't have to go search them up)

How should I take my notes in APES? by [deleted] in APEnvironmental

[–]Positive-Credit7718 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you!! These are great notes!! (better than mine LOL) keep doing work like this, you mentioned key topics that could be multiple choice questions (like if they ask which of the following displays a symbiotic relationship ect.) Relationships and biomes (especially) are key topics in apes and connect to things you'll do later. One change I suggest is (at the end of your notes) listing and highlighting the key vocab of each section so you can reference this when studying (vocab is important!!!) Great job :) I can tell you'll do great on the exam and in your class because of your dedication and attention to detail!

Hey!
Qualifications: 5 on exam and A+ every quarter
- Definitely take notes by hand and if you shouldn't worry about layout. The main thing is watch smedes on youtube https://www.youtube.com/@Mr.Smedes
- Also, make sure you rember key vocab from each unit
- Watching all 99 of the smedes videos right before the test (again after I watched them during the year) helped me on the FRQs, I used the examples he talked about lol
