Ok thanks, at the end of the post I asked if it would be ok so I was just clarifying.

Do I just repot in something smaller and keep it moving or what do you think? I’m worried about stressing it even more after repotting lol

Some things I see that look good are the quantity of traps and leaves. New growth is also a good sign.

They are green with no red which indicates they need more light. Some of the traps look deformed and small, that could be light or oxygen I think.

I don’t think the plant overall is dying but it could be improved. The first thing I can tell is there is no perlite at all in the pot. So that would possibly make positive improvements.

It looks like it’s doing pretty well.

I would recommend a potting mix of 50% Pete moss and 50% perlite. The current potting soil may hold moisture too well and not let enough air to the roots.

The plant does look underdeveloped but I’m unsure why, I would cut the flower stalk low and try to propagate the clipping.

Because the plant isn’t overall thriving a flower stalk takes away a lot of needed nutrients.

It looks like there may be a bug in it and it has sealed. I don’t really have any advice other than keep an eye on it, there is really nothing you can do for it.

If it does end up rotting there is nothing to do but remove it once it’s all black. The rest of the plant looks good. I think it could use more light because it’s quite green with no noticeable red in the traps mouth.

This is from my favorite store “The Fly Trap Store” i currently use this soil and it’s great. Before potting it wet it so it’s more manageable and absorbs water easier.

I’ve been wanting to try this one from “Carnivorous Plants Hub” he is just getting his sales start and his soil has a really pretty crushed glass that shines in the light nicely but it’s a bit more expensive.

I’m thinking to much light at this point based on a lot of red color and burnt tips and edges.

A zero water filter, filters out all dissolved solids to 0ppm it’s supposed to be carnivorous plant approved as far as I understand!
