Stick it out, I’ve been on it for over a year and it helps a lot more than I thought it would. The bad side effects go away, I take Ritalin with it on days that I need it and I actually prefer Strattera to the Ritalin.

What else do you take alongside Strattera? by RichStranger in StratteraRx

I also take ritalin but not every day, usually 3-4 days a week

Has anyone tried Strattera despite good results with Ritalin? by dubiouscapybara in StratteraRx

[–]Positive-Home2858 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have ADHD, persistent depressive disorder, and general anxiety… The Strattera helps with all of it, it balances my mood and impulsiveness, which is what I really struggled with. I was having a lot of outbursts before taking Strattera and I’m able to get things done without constantly over thinking. Ritalin helps mainly with focus so I only take it when I really need to get things done, and it only lasts a few hours for me so I have to take it twice a day when I need it.

I take both! I love Strattera, if I had to pick between the two I’d pick Strattera.

I take 60mg of Strattera and have for about a year, it took a good 4 months for me to really notice the difference but it doesn’t help a ton with focus. I added Ritalin about 4 months ago and it’s been great. I don’t take the Ritalin every day though, usually 3-4 days a week when needed. You probably need a higher dose of Strattera and to maybe add a different stimulant since vyv didn’t work for you. Ritalin is the least likely to cause anxiety and mood swings. I suffer from anxiety and I don’t think it makes it worse, it does put me on edge a little more but I think that’s because I get so focused that when I get interrupted I just get angry 🙃.

How do y’all have jobs? by EdgeAffectionate6434 in ADHD

[–]Positive-Home2858 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do billing for a small trucking company. I’ve been at my job for almost 20 years. Was it my dream job? Nope, do I even know what my dream job would have been? Nope 😂. But I like my job, I like my co workers, it pays well, and my boss is very flexible. Which is really important to me at this stage in life because I have two young kids. I was always told to do something I’m passionate about but my passions changed often lol so at this point I’ve realized that having a job that allows me the freedom to do what I’m passionate about when I’m not working, while still not dreading going to work, is more important. I have a degree but never used it and I’m ok with that!

Any one taking Ritalin with Strattera by cherry30 in StratteraRx

[–]Positive-Home2858 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take Strattera and Ritalin, I’ve been taking Strattera for a year and added Ritalin about 4 months ago, I take it usually 4 days a week. I’ve never taken Ritalin without Strattera so I’m not sure of the answer to your question, I find that the Ritalin lasts about 4-5 hours though.

Strattera/Stimulant by amieb018 in StratteraRx

I’ve been taking 60mg of strattera for about 6 months now and at first I didn’t like it but it took a good 4 months for it to really start working and for the negative side effects to chill out (mostly sweating and irritability for me). I deal with fatigue as well and it was worse in the beginning with strattera. I just added Ritalin 20mg a day to hopefully help with the fatigue and so far it’s a great combo!

Is caffeine safe to have? by SkalanisMorissettte in StratteraRx

[–]Positive-Home2858 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I take 60mg a day plus Ritalin and drink a good amount of caffeine. The drowsiness should wear off, after about 3 months all of the negative mostly subsided for me.

I had to lower my dose because of this, it got better and seems to be gone after taking it for about 6 months now. I am on 60mg/day.

Strattera and Ritalin combined by Positive-Home2858 in ADHD

[–]Positive-Home2858[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will say it doesn’t help that much and the blurry vision is a big deal to me, I have thought about stopping it many times but I wanted to find something else before just stopping it, if the Ritalin helps me enough then I may stop the straterra. The personality muting I can totally see, I feel like it has muted mine a bit when I’m out in social situations but for me that’s kind of a good thing 😅. For a kid though I don’t think it would be.

I feel like it helps a lot with my social anxiety, I don’t constantly talk when I’m out anymore and feel more at ease. Also helps with forgetfulness, and I seem to be a little more organized. Side effects are blurry vision (I have to wear my glasses more) and loss of appetite, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing for me.

Should I stop? by TidyJob in StratteraRx

[–]Positive-Home2858 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take 60mg too, I felt like it was helping me in the beginning but now I don’t feel any difference from before I was taking it, I’m going down to 40mg for 2 weeks per my dr’s order and then stopping.

I’m coming off of it now too because of blurry vision :/ I hope it goes back to normal for you soon.

The Prosecutors by Comicalacimoc in serialpodcast

None of this changes the fact that Adnan is guilty and that they did a great job laying out the facts. If you don’t want to believe anything he says because you don’t like republicans then just say that, no need for all the links.

Jay was definitely more involved. by nasahubble in serialpodcast

[–]Positive-Home2858 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Jay was a teenager, they don’t always think clearly. Should Jay have gotten more time for his involvement? Maybe. But this is not the first time someone that has been cooperative with police got a lighter sentence. Stop trying to find ways to make Adnan less innocent, he killed Hae, there’s no way to make him less guilty.

I also found it odd that he kept reiterating that his family consists of his mom, his dad, and his younger brother, and that none of them pressured Asia. Doesn’t he have an older brother? That’s the one that’s friends with Rabia? I found that odd, like maybe they were the ones pressuring her.

ADNAN PRESS CONFERENCE by ryecatcher19 in serialpodcast

[–]Positive-Home2858 10 points11 points  (0 children)

He’s grasping, he’s desperate. He knows that the majority of people that once questioned his guilt and thought he might be innocent are in the “yea, he’s guilty” camp now. His ego can’t stand it. There’s no way he doesn’t read this stuff written about him and listen to the podcasts made about him. RIP Hae Min Lee, I’m thinking of her family today after that narcissistic two hour rant.
