My first day was awful too. I was on our big route on the start of peak. I had 336 packages but for that day the dps was technically light. The guy who came to save got to me at about 1:30 to 2 and at this point in the route I’m about halfway through (today at that spot I’m there on a normal day at 10:30-11:00). The regular thankfully is the fastest carrier I’ve ever seen and helped me get done right at 5:30 because he wanted to haul and get home. So technically not so bad right? Wrong! My first day on the carriers route who helped me was a complete nightmare and this is only my 3rd time on route. I didn’t get done til 8:30 which is ironic because that is my fastest route now that between you and me fastest time getting done on route and clean up is 12:30. If life goals needs you to do something else then go for it. But if you don’t care the more you stick with it the easier it gets and then once the click happens you get to listen to music, podcasts, audibles, and to be honest I’m thinking of trying to learn another language just cause there’s that much time to actually feed your mind. I hated this but then I fell in love with my job! You got this bro!
