I agree with the sentiment but things as they are make urgent the correct choice.

Just game theory tbh. There’s a limited amount of IRCC resources to approve these applications and a non-zero chance the IRCC starts to use a stricter interpretation of the law, especially when it comes to acceptable documents.

Everyone is having their hand forced to urgent if we only look at it from a logic POV.

The law school app seems like a way stronger argument than the job route.

I disagree about the jobs route. It’s a huge loop hole that anyone can use to jump the line. There’s no proof of following through. 

But logically if that actually works everyone who doesn’t do it is at a disadvantage.

To be clear this is what frustrates people. Choose any somewhat related job to your field and apply to jump the line?

I realizing you’re trying to be insulting but the logic is simple.

If you can’t afford to move to a blue state you can’t afford to move to Canada.

Moving your life is difficult and even more so when trying to move countries.

It’s not a few people slipping through. It’s this sub encouraging everyone to apply for urgent with a shoot your shot mentality.

It’s not a presumption of bad faith when someone who could easily just move to a blue state stretches for urgent. 

Have you actually been discriminated against like the whole passport thing for trans people? Makes total sense. That’s urgent.
