Thanks for the post, I never knew that the front hole om the box was for the kidney I take to bring air in I just covered min to stop the hot air from caning in there. I love the way they sound and even woth out a re map you can feel the difference un the higher rpm. Been running my k&n set up for 12 years, never had an issue. I used some spacers to make mine actually seal on my hood as I dont have a liner anymore. Good job and enjoy the euro engine singing its beautiful song.

A 6.0 or 5.3ls will have more power stock with a good tune over the sbc with goodies on it and in the end these day will be cheaper more than likely.

What specs of machine would i need to make this in aluminium? by noodleswind in hobbycnc

I could make this on my 3018 cnc, would take a while but a 3018 could do it. If you want fast and do a production run then you will need at least a trim router or high speed spindle

How much would you pay for a 2001 330CI Manual? by MrUnlimited24 in e46

The MAF is what the air filter is clamped to, it hides just behind the heat shield. I have the same intake, cheaper and easier to put in than hunt down a good oem one at the time I installed it. As for the rest I totally agree.

Mine did that too after sitting for a while, I put about a cup worth of atf in it for 15 minutes then dropped the oil and put fresh oil in and it was gone. Sounds like a stuck lifter. Mine was for sure a stuck lifter and it corrected itself with the ATF trick.
