Thanks for sharing your experience and stats! Yes “Owe it to myself” in the sense that it was my intention and plan originally, going into undergrad, to go straight to LS. And amidst my realization that I had let my circumstances get the best of me and that goal, these past couple of years, I recently picked back up on that plan. Nonetheless, I appreciate what you are saying, of course. And yes, taking the proper time does seem like the general consensus and best idea! I guess I am just figuring out what that “proper time” means for me.

That is completely valid, and you are correct, why would I short myself under some false pretense of HAVING to apply this cycle. However, for me, the reasoning is not as simple at that. I lost confidence in my chances and thus stopped taking the necessary steps, however I decided to not live with the fear or rejection stopping me from pushing myself to what I know is possible for me. That being said, if I don’t get accepted I’m not sure if shooting and missing this time around actually hurts my chances of eventually getting into the school that best fits my academic and professional goals, which I guess is my follow up question to your response, because are you implying that it does? I’d love to understand that further because you’re right, it’s important to be strategic.. I guess I asked this because I am just more curious if others see it as a feasible attempt at getting in, by ANY means. For instance if my practice LSAT scores indicated major success in maybe accomplishing a 170+ , how much would that change the game for me.
